Here’s the revised review with your addition: I recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Emcremadas, which were beautifully plated and absolutely delicious. Accompanying the dish was a small container of tan-colored sauce—a salsa that is incredibly spicy. Be warned: it packs serious heat! The restaurant initially caught my eye with its attractive purple signage. Having gone a long time without enchiladas in my dining experiences, I felt compelled to give this place a try. However, my first interaction with the staff was less than ideal. The hostess greeted me with rapid Spanish, which I couldn’t fully understand. As usual, I explained in Spanish that I was learning the language and kindly asked her to speak a bit slower so I could follow along. While I also expressed my gratitude for her patience, both she and a nearby male staff member froze, visibly uncomfortable. From that point on, they disengaged completely, and another woman—who spoke English—stepped in to assist me. She became my primary point of contact while the others avoided further interaction. Coincidentally, the English speaking woman clearly and without question had zero interest in any conversation other than regarding ordering or paying. She of course has no obligation to do so, however there is a polite and cordial way to behave in a hospitality role. The interior of the restaurant is tasteful, with beautiful artwork adorning the walls. There are two small seating areas with a total of six tables. While the atmosphere was pleasant overall, the temperature inside was uncomfortably warm, likely because the air conditioning had not been turned on shortly after opening. The general mood of the staff felt depressive and detached, which detracted from the dining experience. Because of this, I recommend opting for takeout or coming with other people to ensure some positive interaction during your visit. That said, the food itself is very good, and I would consider returning to this restaurant—just not to dine in-house. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, a gender-neutral bathroom, and the ability to pay with Apple Pay or credit cards. As for the coffee, it was passable but unremarkable. Let me know if you’d like any further adjustments!
