Tavola Mérida — Restaurant in Mérida

Before going, I read the reviews and was super excited. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I had calamari, they were blend, no taste whatsoever.

They served complimentary bread, it was really cold. The focaccia tasted like nothing.

I ordered a fettuccine Alfredo, again it was blend. No taste. I am not sure if they have a special sauce but it had some sort of small diced onion and it felt weird in my mouth. The dish had no salt😩.

This is a family friendly restaurant so don’t go if you just want a peaceful meal, children and babies will be yelling😂.

Decidí festejar mi cumpleaños en este lugar debido a las buenas reseñas, por lo que tenía muchas expectativas. Hice una reservación con anticipación, pero al llegar, nuestra mesa no estaba lista a pesar de que el restaurante estaba casi vacío. Aunque no tardaron mucho en asignarnos una mesa, es un punto en contra, ya que la reservación se hace precisamente para evitar este tipo de inconvenientes.

Nuestro mesero, Christian, fue muy amable y atento. De entradas, pedimos caponata de berenjena y champiñones rellenos, ambos acompañados de pan de masa madre. Ambos platillos estuvieron deliciosos. De cortesia nos dieron mas pan con aceite de oliva y vinagre balsamico.

Como segundo tiempo, pedí unos canolis de pollo, que estaban super cremosos, con un buen sabor y servidos muy calientes. La pizza margarita me pareció que le faltaban ingredientes, pero la pizza Tàvola fue muy rica y cremosa.

De bebidas, pedí un "O'Sole Mio", que me llamó la atención por el nombre y me gustó aún más por su sabor dulce y ligero. El "Ticket to Milan" es más un digestivo ya que es algo mas fuerte.

Finalmente, los postres fueron una grata sorpresa, especialmente el que me dieron de cortesia por mi cumpleaños ya que tenia chocolate amargo, mi favorito. La panacota de durazno resultó ser muy refrescante, no tan dulce, pude haber comido varias de esas.

pagamos $2200.00 por 6 personas, todas quedaron satisfechas.

En general, disfruté mucho la experiencia y definitivamente volvería para probar...
