El Japonez — Restaurant in Mexico City

Today is the 10th of January 2021. I got take out from el japonez and let me tell you the quality has gone down dramatically. Its not even worth going, its an embarrassment. We ordered the spicy tuna rolls and we ( brother, cousin and I) are now viciously ill with food poisoning. This includes all the symptoms under the sun from vomit to pains to fever. Almost similar to feeling sick from covid. Its an absolute nightmare and I will never go back to this place. I am actually worried and quite frankly freaked out because I have never felt this way. They don't respect your reservation! rude host! flavorless plate (Temura Udon) You're in countered with a rude host who doesn't know how to do her job and doesn't like the fact that you go over her head to talk to the manager about the situation. (my reservation) The management did everything they could to fix the situation they are very helpful and very accommodating. (still waited 20 minutes for a table) The plate that I had did not satisfy all of the problems. It was so bland, no flavor whatsoever. What a shame! Como local guide es súper importante tomar en cuenta todos los aspectos que engloban una buena experiencia y aquí el servicio y actitud del mesero fue decepcionante. Nos atendió un mesero llamado Jonathan, que se molestó u ofendió demasiado cuando fue a tomarnos la orden y le pedimos que mientras veíamos el menú, nos trajera un vaso de agua, fue descortés, nos hizo caras y cuando llevó los vasos los azotó. No conocíamos el restaurante ya que no somos de la ciudad y queríamos tener sugerencias o una mejor atención, se tardó mucho en volver para tomar nuestra orden, bueno de hecho no volvió 🫠 le pedí a otra señorita que lo hiciera, cero educado ni cortés. Cuando nos llevaron los alimentos, èl jamás volvió a ver si necesitábamos algo, no estaba al pendiente de nosotras. Lo único que llevo fue el agua y los mocktails. Apenas estábamos comiendo el último bocado y te retiran los platos aún teniendo tu alimento en los palillos, te lo están retirando y te preguntan “puedo retirar?” Pero ya te lo están quitando! Te atosigan con los postres cuando todavía ni has terminado de comer. No sé si no te ofrecen acompañamientos, como salsas, pero sólo teníamos salsa de soya. El mesero le pidió a otro mesero que se llama Néstor nos llevara la cuenta, supongo que veía nuestra molestia y no quería hacerse responsable de su mala actitud. Jamás se paró el gerente durante el servicio a preguntarnos si todo estaba bien, sólo al salir nos dijo que “Gracias por visitarnos” o algo así. Están observando pero no se preocupan por preguntar si todo está bien por el servicio, mucho personal de pie haciendo nada, no es un restaurante que esté enfocado en dar un buen servicio.

Por cortesía y educación de nosotras dejamos propina pero sin duda jamás volveré a El Japonez. Pagamos lo normal $1485 más propina del 10% por el pésimo servicio de Jonathan.
