La Cocina de El Tras — Restaurant in Mexico City

We have been here about 6 or 7 times. Always amazing. This time we paid 1800 pesos for a drinks and 1 meal. We were at an insanely high proces restaurant in the modest part of Santa Fe last night. The process of the same exact tequila was 25% more than at that restaurant. It is crazy. I visit Mexico city 12 times a year. I always want to go there. Never again. We can go 10 minutes to downtown Santa Fe and actually get a high end steakhouse dinner for less. Only because of the drinks. They have raised them here significant. Which is weird because they are never full. I am a past general manager of several restaurants. I could make this place full and make them tons of money. Between their early closing every single day, and the prices of drinks, they are never going to make a huge profit. I could fix it in a matter of days and make them so profitable. They close everyday at 6 pm. They are not a breakfast place. That's crazy. We recommend this place to a lot of people. No more. We also will never go there ever again. It is ashame. I would always look forward to coming there. We'll just go to Santa Fe and spend that money at a high end steakhouse with...

El "Traslomita" de toda la vida. Sus socios se pelean -que raro- y deja de ser del grupo Anderson's para convertirse en "Cocina del Tras". Mismo menú, mismo ambiente, mismos precios y hasta mismos meseros. El plus de este lugar es el gran área dedicada a los niños y los über estresados papas e importantísimos escuincles que van por ahí. Cuidadoras, enfermera y todo lo demás (pintacaritas, globos, etc) para que los papás puedan ver el partido y la mamás echar el chal. Parece que todos se conocen entre ellos -menos yo-. Le doy cinco estrellas pues acudimos a este lugar precisamente con alguien que tiene niños chiquitos, y parece que el lugar le encantó.
