One Pound Terraza — Restaurant in Mexico City

A charming terrace. It was better than I expected. I appreciate all the effort people make investing in this places. It is a good option in the area. We were a group of seven. Enough for the space. We tried many dishes of the menu. The escargots, well prepared and seasoned, the flavor wasn’t my favorite, they were missing the juiciness, they were dry. The mushrooms, good, nothing to rave about but the taste was ok. The foie gras was very good, until the moment, the best dish so far. I asked for a whiskey sour, excellent. It had nitrogen and the look was beautiful, It was cold, the color was dark, I guess it was the nitrogen. Excellent mixologist, great. A gazpacho with lemon sorbet, I liked it, but my Spanish friend who makes her own gazpacho didn’t like it, she said it was flavorless and she didn’t like the lemon sorbet. As a main dish I ate the hamburger, it was good, with bacon, the bread was praised by everyone. The service was very good,. The terrace is super cute, their concept is a London private salon, the decor is fun. If I don’t remember the music its because, or there was no music or the volume was too low. When we were living there was some chill out in the background, generic. The white wine was good also. The terrace made me feel good. It was a lovely Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful. One Pound Terraza este enclavado en el corazón de las lomas de Chapultepec, una muy elegante y exclusiva zona de la ciudad. El lugar es pequeño y muy intimo lo que permiten un servicio de excelencia y 100% personalizado. La ambientación es sobria y honra el estilo inglés que ofrecen. La carta no es muy amplia, pero si es muy buena. El toque ingles tiene entre sus favoritos el FILETE WELLINGTON uno de los imperdibles del lugar. Las porciones son pequeñas y no muy bien emplatadas, las guarniciones no son lo suyo, pero muy esta bien cocinadas deleitando el paladar y permitiendo comidas hasta de 3 tiempos. Su servicio es realmente bueno y todo el personal esta muy bien entrenado, conocen su carta perfectamente y recomiendan con certeza. Saben dar servicio y atención de primer nivel sin jugar al cambio de cubiertos, vajillas y manteles para aparentar lo que a otros restaurantes falta. No es apto para grupos de más de 6 y con esfuerzo quizá 8 personas ya que es pequeño el espacio. La selección de vinos es amplia y puedes encontrar algunas curiosidades al igual que sus cocteles y destilados. Los postres ofrecen un área de oportunidad que pueden trabajar fácilmente.
