Forgot to post my review from my visit in January. It was deserved which is why I’m posting now.
As a Texan I was super excited to read about this place in Texas Monthly so it was on my visit list while in CDMX of course I had to have some “American /Texas style” Brisket and Ribs. Upon my arrival I was greeted with friendly service as we walked in and explained how it all worked, of course coming from Texas and a big bbq lover I was Knowledged and ready to order everything my eyes could see. We tried out a variety of Brisket, Ribs & jalapeño cheddar sausage. Had the mac n cheese and beans for our sides. The order process was also friendly and mouth watering as you could see the meats being cut and weighted. The whole ordering processing was quick and easy.
To the point, The brisket was hands down amazing and reminded me of true Texas style bbq. Perfectly smoked with a nice smoke ring & the perfect pull which showed how moist it was. The Ribs were packed with the perfect smoke flavor and topped with the right amount of sauce for the perfect fall off the bone rib. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was extremely flavorful and beat my favorite brand from Texas. Now the mac n cheese was dry and bland, the bbq beans were tasty. But quite honestly I came wanting true smoked meat and boy was I impressed. All washed down with a craft beer called Cosaco Roja, great beer.
Prices are what I expected to pay as it’s a premium product and reflected Texas prices. For Mexico it may be a shock but bbq is a true craft which comes at a premium. Lastly unfortunately I didn’t catch it till after I left but my receipt showed I was actually charged twice for brisket which I only ordered a pound (450g give or take) I was charged two separate brisket charged. I reached out to the fb page without a successful response. I’m sure it was a human error which I understand, I just wish I would’ve caught the error in person but I was simply to excited to sit and eat.
Overall highly recommend this BBQ place for true American/ Texas style BBQ! I’ll be back soon.

Read moreWent on May 26th, 2022 with huge expectations. I decided to walk 4km to this destination so I could be nice and hungry for the feast. I ordered Ribs, Sausage and Cole Slaw.
The staff is super helpful and friendly. Upon entering, you are greeted the manager and told about the BBQ options how they are prepared. The space itself is hip, fun and sets the mood for a Texas style feast but that's where the awesome ended. I really wanted to like the place but the BBQ totally missed the mark.
First the Ribs: They had almost no meat on them, but the bones were nice and plump. As such, a full pound of ribs left me wondering what tacos I would buy from the street vendors. The rib meat was definitely mushy with absolutely no taste of smoke. In addition, they are covered in a very sweet sauce that does not compliment, but disguise the tasteless meat.
Secondly the Sausage: 100% tasteless.... however it looked really plump and appetizing. In an act of culinary defiance, I covered the sausage with habanaro sauce and the burn and gave me the sensation that I was eating something and important (I was not).
Final verdict... this place is expensive and probably can be worth it with a significant investment in meat quality and the BBQ process. If I had to do it all over again, I would simply buy a Mac-Rib sandwich for a fraction of the cost ...with...
Read moreCame to this place craving a taste from the south and I was not disappointed. I went on a Sunday with a buddy of mine and ordered 1/2 of brisket, 1/2 of baby back deliciousness, 1/4 of Mac and cheese, 1/4 of bbq beans and a fall of the bone beef rib sandwich which came to a total of around 1200 mexican pesos which would be around 80ish murican dollars. The moment the food arrived I felt that sweet southern comfort I’ve missed for a while with free refills of pink lemonade and that good ole taste of smokiness in the food that felt apart it truly felt like a roadside bbq restaurant in the middle of Arkansas. Overall place is pretty good if you are a pinche gringo like me and even if you are not they will make you feel like one there a few things I would like to see changed such as the flavor of the baby back ribs or for them to add country music in the back such as Hank or Alan Jackson, hell even Jimmy Buffet...
