Taquería El Califa (Santa Fe) — Restaurant in Mexico City

Two stars for location location. I bought 3 tacos and two drinks and ended up paying $550 pesos. The tacos were not good enough to cal decent and the service was poor to say the least. I asked for a non spicy sauce for my two year old and the recommended the guacamole because every sauce they have is spicy… so when it arrived, I tasted it and it had serrano chile in it. Really?? Sent that back and asked for guac without spice for my daughter. Theres a reason it was so empty. What baffles me are the positive reviews. May i have had a bad isolated experience? Food quality is very good, consistency is always there and flavor is very good. The meat quality is probably some of the best compared to other taco places, hence these aren’t cheap. The tacos and guacamole here are much, much better than the fancy place Porfirio’s by far. In one of the many times we have been there I ask got dessert, it was just meh/ok. We only go there for good tacos.

Tengo opiniones encontradas con este restaurante. La comida en general es buena y la atención en el restaurante es buena, siempre y cuando sea consumo en el lugar. En el caso de servicio a domicilio, se incurren en malas prácticas... mi última orden, jamás se les ocurrió preguntarme preferencia de tortillas, o si queria la carne separada de los tacos. Tuve que acercarme a pedir que me dieran tortillas de harina y que quería por separado todo. El muchacho que me tomó el pedido, desde que me vió tenía una cara de pocos amigos. Y aunque a mi parecer no merecía propina por la mala atención del mismo, se la dí, recibiendo la misma cara de molestia y de hastío. Antes de irme del lugar, le pregunté si las tortillas eran de harina, y me dijo que sí. Llego a mi casa, abro mi paquete y OH sorpresa! Tortillas de harina mixtas con maiz!!!! Molesta hablè al negocio y me contesta el encargado, al comentarle mi problema me dice: el empleado no tiene por qué pregutarle a uno nada. Háganme el favor!!!! Y luego se quejan de que uno como cliente no vuelva a su negocio!. Y la nota final es que al dìa siguiente todos en la familia que consumimimos la comida del restaurante amanecimos enfermos del estómago. Asì que no recomiendo el restaurante.
