Tortas Gigantes Sur 12 — Restaurant in Mexico City

My wife and I tried again this place and ended up quite disappointed.

This place used to have the best tortas of the zone, but nowadays the quality of the ingredients got compromised by the size of the tortas which are big enough, their taste has decreased and the prices raised, there are better places to get a greater and tasty torta that surely worth your money.

They also sale Juices and deserts which are good and tasty, obviously could be get better.

Another stuff they sale are Pastor tacos, which are good, but just that. Surely you can find better places in the zone to get some really tasty Pastor tacos.

The staff is friendly and willing to help.

The restrooms have been improved and looks quite good, the only thing they need is regular cleaning and sanitisation.

Just keep in mind when you call to get some tortas delivered to your door, the torta they send you will be small compared with the ones...

Excellent meals and attention. The place is clean, the food tastes very good. Big sized juices are around half a litre and taste very well, they also serve coffee. The tacos are nice and their selection is big, they also have barbecues and tortas. Sauces taste nice too. They are spicy for the foreigner but you should give them a try. Main drawback is they don't accept cards, so be prepared with cash. A dinner can reach 5 dollars per person including the drinks. I recommend this place among all the others nearby. Keep up...

Concurrido establecimiento con servicio de mesa especializado en tortas, el menú es amplio; también ofrecen tacos, alambres, quesadillas, gorditas, jugos, aguas de fruta, licuados y postres.

El mobiliario no es muy cómodo y se encuentra distribuido mediante mesas cuadradas a lo largo del salón principal, dependiendo del horario puedes encontrar mucha o poca gente, hay ocasiones en que el espacio entre los comensales se puede sentir reducido.

El lugar se divide mediante estaciones de trabajo en las que preparan las diferentes opciones del menú, en una sección se preparan los jugos y licuados, tienen una barra anexa de postres y en otra hay grandes parrillas donde se prepara la carne para satisfacer los pedidos.

Este negocio se ha vuelto relevante con el paso del tiempo y de él se han desprendido numerosas sucursales alrededor de la ciudad, siendo ésta la matriz, se ha vuelto un referente en restaurantes nocturnos.

Las porciones son grandes y van de acuerdo al precio que ofrece el menú, existe la leyenda sobre una torta de casi dos kilos que nadie ha podido vencer en mucho tiempo, se llama Torta Especial Sur 12.

El local se encuentra en una importante intersección vial al oriente de la ciudad, enclavado en un importante núcleo habitacional; se rodea de restaurantes, bares, escuelas, salones de eventos y todo tipo de locales comerciales.
