Yoko Ramen Nápoles — Restaurant in Mexico City

Tl;dr: Ramen is mediocre. Service is terrible.

More detail: I ordered a normal "tonkotsu" ramen and a fried cheese skewer. They were out of Asahi and Sapporo, so I settled for a coke. And then I waited. After 20 minutes the cheese skewer showed up. It was meh. No one bothered to bring me the drink. Another 20 minutes went by (okay, it was Friday, the place is on Insurgentes, I didn't complain) and finally the ramen showed up. I then had to remind the server to bring me hashi & a spoon, as well as my drink please (a can of coke, so then I had to ask for a glass with ice too). And then it turned out that the ramen wasn't actually done! They'd literally rushed it out after 40 minutes! The broth was tepid, the noodles were uncooked and tough, and the mushrooms were raw and actually refrigerator-cold inside. So I complained and another ten minutes later they brought it out right (I knew as much because the mushrooms were nice and grilled this time).

Even then, this is about as mediocre a ramen as I've had. There's definitely better in Mexico City (Wan Wan, Jametaro, Kura, hell even Degu). The broth here lacks both salt and fat. The egg is hard-boiled(!) The pork belly is skimpy and cut into little rectangles of mostly fat. Oh and I asked for chile on the side but that never came. I think the noodles were the worst though, bland and soapy, and I know for sure they hadn't been overcooked. I'll admit that I'm no ramen expert, but those noodles sucked.

They were kind enough to offer me a complimentary dish by way of apology, but uh that turned out to be another fried cheese skewer, which I politely declined (too meh, too late), at which point they brought me my check without me having asked for it. Now I know this might sound weird if you're not from here, but this last bit is just straight up rude in Mexico—and further motivated me to spend 15 minutes panning this atrocious excuse for a ramen spot....

Unfortunately just plain bad from start to finish. First arrived to a half empty restaurant on a Saturday with two people and wanted to sit outside but they said there wasn’t service there. Then wanted to sit at an empty table inside but they said it was a reserved 4 top so we couldn’t sit there. Not a single other person entered the place in the hour we were there. So we crammed into a corner two top but by far the worst was the food. Ordered the pork gyoza, and two different bowls of ramen. The pork gyoza and the pork belly in the ramen tastes old and of very poor quality. The udon noodles were slimy and overcooked. The broth didn’t taste fresh, lacked flavor and the egg that is supposed to be jammy was simply undercooked leaving the yolk to spread all over the bowl. Barely finished 25% of our food and the bill was over $800 pesos with just two sodas. I am no expert on ramen but we came here due to the reviews. They only have so many because they give you a free shot of sake if you leave a nice one for them. I would avoid...

It's a small restaurant serving ramen. I went there because the score is relatively high compared with others. But it's below my expectations. The ramen price is expensive $279 that I thought it would be rich ingredients in the soap. But actually beside noodles there are only 2 pieces of pork belly meat, an egg and some pieces of mushrooms. That's why I think it's overpriced. And they put a piece of wierd raw canola leave(people never eat this raw in Asia) in the soap. The cooking speed is slow.
