I have been visiting Bucerias for a few days and this restaurant was highly recommended to me many times. Last night I was finally able to go and I can see why. As soon as you get on the street you can smell something wonderful in the air. Then as you get closer you can see all the people. The large number of hard working staff, and the patrons leaving with smiles on their faces. It’s a wonderful place! The al pastor is cooked on a mix of hot coals as well as a massive gas flame, it is the best al pastor I’ve ever had. We had 5 tacos for 95 pesos as well as a few quesadillas that were 50 pesos each. Unbelievable prices for the quality of food and the quality of service that the staff provides. I will always go back when visiting Bucerias! on a side note, I have to say this, while leaving I dropped my wallet out of my purse without noticing. With my ID, cards, and a bit of cash. Could have been a big mess to replace. Not only did they find it quickly but they came running across the highway just to bring it back to me! Wow. I couldn’t believe it and will forever be grateful to them for going above and beyond. Muchas...
Read moreThis cozy restaurant in the main street (Estaciones) of Bucerías serves "alambres" ("wires"), a plate of mixed meats, cheese and other items (in earlier times cooked on a skewer, hence the name) served with fresh HOT tortillas.
The specialty is "al pastor", pork roasted on a vertical spit (learned from Lebanese immigrants to Mexico years ago), with a chip of pineapple included. Condiments and variety of salsas make this food even more delicious.
Standard selection of beverages is available, but order the Agua Fresca (water flavored with fresh fruit). The night we were there, the flavor was lemon with cilantro, and it was amazing.
UPDATE: They now have a second restaurant on the lateral of the highway, at the intersection me the street to the Decameron Club, across from Farmacías Guadalajara. Same menu, a bit of...
Read moreIt being my first time in Mexico, and my second city on my trip, I've tried street tacos and restaurant tacos and was always disappointed; that is until I ate here. The tacos were amazing, well prepared and large portions for the price. I went with the order of 5 tacos (al pastor) and they were exactly as I had been described what a typical mexican taco should be. The juice (agua fresca) was also delicious. The service was amazing, fast and the owner spoke excellent English, even if I was travelling with mexicans. I had no hesitation to try the sauces (4 types from tasty to spicy) on my tacos. That being said, I also loved the taco as is. I highly recommend this restaurant for the typical feel of a cosy mexican restaurant. Do not let the initial apparence fool you. This place deserves 6...
