A beautiful little spot with exceptionally good food! My husband and I discovered this place on our last day in Huatulco and were so happy we did.
We sat in the outdoor living room for brunch. They offer a three-course special that includes a beverage. For first course we both got the salad, greens with corn, bacon, cheese, pecans, and basil. For second course I got the chilaquiles with salsa verde and a soft fried egg and he got Huevos rancheros. Third course is dessert, I got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with coffee (affogato) and he got the lime sorbet. All delicious.
The owner Jane is also the editor in chief of a free magazine that you can take from inside the restaurant that covers everything from where to take cooking classes in Huatulco to short Spanish lessons to articles celebrating Mexican artists, and community programs that are increasing the quality of love for incarcerated women in Mexico.
There’s also a leave-a-book, take-a-book shelf in case you forgot to pack reading material...
Read moreFirst of all: bamboo straws! No bottled water, but would bring purified water in a glass. Now about food: well thought menu, with few options, but covering Earth, wind and water. Had the zucchini and sweet corn fritters to start and the chicken with rosemary, carrots and mashed potatoes. Basic, but the carrots were really good. Ambience is really nice and laid back. Casual dinner and cost wise it's reasonably priced for what you get. No alcoholic beverages and averaged $185 Mexican pesos (party of 3= $850 including tip). Just be ware that you're a little out from the main road if not driving there, so you would need to call a cab to pick you up. Have a number at hand or ask your host(ess)/waiter for help with that. If planning on going at dinner time a reservation...

Wow, Café Juanita in Huatulco is an absolute gem if you’re looking for super healthy, fresh, and absolutely delicious food! I had the vegan tostadas, and they were incredible—loaded with frijoles, radishes, cucumber, avocado, and spinach. Then I tried the roasted vegetable salad with spinach. It usually comes with goat cheese, but as a vegan, I asked them to leave it out, and it was still amazing! Everything was so fresh and full of flavor.
In vacation spots, it’s often hard to find truly healthy food, but Café Juanita delivers in every way. The service was great, and the entire experience was perfect. This is the spot for anyone who loves fresh, healthy, and delicious meals. Highly recommend for a...
