By far, one of THE best sushi restaurant, Kioto Sushi, compared to any other Barcelo location in Mexico that I’ve gone to. Perhaps, we got lucky with a great chef, overly attentive server Pedro and perhaps, the time of day made a difference (Friday 930p reservation). Regardless, our dining experience in this small, pleasant and quaint Japanese restaurant was tops.
My traveling group all agreed, every dish we ordered was delicious. No complaints. A tray of condiments were perfect additions to our meal, including the sake drinks. I would like to high light and give a special recognition to the miso soup. It wasn’t your ordinary kind. This one was extra, something about the broth mixed in with chunks of tofu, seaweed, mushrooms, etc. If you’re not a fan of miso soup, you may be a fan now.
Literally, we killed our plates and definitely left the restaurant full. We had made plans to go out dancing after dinner but decided to kick back as we were too stuffed to even move around. Energy level -zero.
Dislikes: very small table for 4, no window view where we sat, and there were less than 10 tables at this locations. Space was an issue for me
We wanted to make reservations for the following evening, buy Kyoto was already booked.
Highly recommend 👍🏼
