Went here cause I saw from a tt that apparently the tamale was the best he tried. I ordered almost the same things that he mentioned and I was kind of disappointed. For starters was ordered the garnachas with the bolitas the queso. They were ok if I’m honest the sauce that they use is similar to chipotle so is was new to me. To my surprise I only received one bolita de queso, mind you it’s around the size of a rubber ball. I the ordered the stuffed plantain and again it was underwhelming. Next I ordered the elote tamal and I will say it was the best thing I had there but definitely not for those in search of something savory. The agua de tamarindo was very delicious I will say. Read moreI ate at La Teca today and thoroughly enjoyed myself. They have indoor and patio seating. I'm not familiar with food from the Isthmus and the waiter quickly explained the different dishes. I had the Plato Istmeño. It is one of the most expensive dinners at $200 pesos but it had chicken, potatoes, cabbage, plantain, three garnaches and a chili relleno. I asked for a friend who doesn't eat pork and the garnaches and chili relleno both use beef. I had a nice dessert and my bill was $285 including a drink.
