Lobo De Mar — Restaurant in Oaxaca

We were slightly disappointed by our experience here - we arrived at a busy time and decided to wait for a table. We asked for a drink and respectfully waited while the waitresses rushed around serving. Two reminders later during lulls in service we finally got a drink! The impression we had was of a slightly disorganised operation.

My wife enjoyed her pasta but my burger was disappointing. I think the burger itself (home made) was good but the dish was over salty (maybe the ketchup?) which for me is saying something as I like salt. The accompanying sauteed potatoes were stone cold and not at all crispy. The red wine by the glass (Montepulciano) was decent compared to most wine served in Mexico. I think maybe they just had...

We arrived late as a party of 6, without a reservation, and were seated after a short 10-min wait. The staff was incredibly kind and seemed to truly love being there.

The menu is full of house-made items, crafted with passion and attention. The fresh pasta and focaccia were the stars. We talked about the the "porketta" and burger - both served on the pillowy-soft, perfectly-salty focaccia - for days and days after tasting.

10/10 will return on our next trip to San...

We enjoyed a very nice dinner here. All of us had a different dish and all of us were happy with it. I had a delicious vegetarian pesto pasta which I would recommend. We also got all the different deserts and due to a error in the kitchen we ended up with one desert extra, which was very kind :) just a comment on the tiramisu because tiramisu is always difficult l, it’s nice but...
