We do not recommend this establishment to people with food intolerances or allergies. We ordered a meal based on what was described on the establishment's menu. However, when the waitress brought our order, they had added cheese to our meal. An ingredient that was not listed in the description displayed on the menu... We had to refuse the meal brought by the waitress because I am allergic to milk protein, so I could not eat what they brought us. My husband, very politely, explained in detail to the waitress why we could not accept that meal, and then asked that they reorder the meal without adding cheese. Minutes later, they brought our order, assuring us that they had made everything without cheese. However, we noticed that all over the bottom of the guacamole, in contact with the lettuce leaf, there were pieces of cheese... In other words, they reused the meal with cheese. They did not prepare a new meal without cheese as we had requested. This was a very disrespectful attitude, and it also put my health at risk. We are disappointed with what happened! Read moreXipol is a staple sports bar in the main square of La Crucecita and has a great vibe to it - with beautiful artwork, view of the park and of course, all the American/Canadian sports teams on many tvs. I'd say it's one of the main hang outs for expats here making it very approachable. The servers all speak great English and the menu is also translated so it's easy to navigate.
I have ordered the nachos and quesadilla at different times and been underwhelmed. My partner ordered the wings and they were just ok. He enjoys the egg burritos the most.
The drinks are fantastic though, delicious and fresh. We've tried quite a few on the menu.
Service by Ellie was superb! She is friendly, buddy and personable. She let us sit with our dog and even showed us photos of hers! Big points for that haha
In conclusion I would recommend Xipol as a stating point to anyone traveling the area who wants to get their bearing a before venturing out to more authentic...
Read moreI stopped by to make a takeout order. I ordered the three shrimp tacos, and an order of onion rings. I did not dine in. I took my food couple streets to my home and was sorely disappointed to discover I had been given an incorrect order.. instead of the shrimp tacos, they gave me fish tacos. The fish tacos did not even look appetizing, they were soggy not crisp and absolutely zero flavor. I was so disappointed I was looking forward to having shrimp tacos. I did not feel like walking back to argue about my order. I was disappointed because I was very clear when I ordered, and I pointed my finger to the item on the menu that I wanted. they also charged me for the shrimp tacos, which I did not get. disappointed won’t be stopping there again. Do...
