Worst experience in a restaurant. Their hours of operation claim they open at 8:30, we arrived at 8:45 and were told we have to wait for 15 more minutes because they had too many people yesterday (whatever that means) , after waiting we were told to wait 30 more minutes because the kitchen was not ready. Already hungry and not at all happy we started to ask questions. As they said: we cannot prepare anything if the kitchen is not ready. They started to be very rude, one waiter said that we were free to go if we didn't like it. Everybody got upset and we were asked to leave, they even threatened to call the police which we thought was absurd so we left. All this came as a surprise to us since the locals are extremely nice, this was an awful exception. Cannot comment on the food since we didn't have any. They have a parking lot which is nice. The restaurant across the street is where we ended up...
Read moreI wish I had taken photos of the food. Eight of us had lunch there with our private tour guide. She established the menu items ahead of time for us. It was all amazing!! Definitely NOT your usual Mexican or "resort-Mayan" food. It was certainly authentic and unique. We loved the pork tacos. I can't remember what they were called but the pork is slow roasted in leaves, underground! We also loved the cheese empanadas!! They were not like Mexican empanadas! The outside was kind of similar to a thick corn tortilla (tasted like the inside of a tamale) and included a leaf mixed into it. I think it was called a shaya leaf or chaya. The restaurant was very clean and contained a few air conditioners, which make it pleasant during the hot day. Pay in...
Read moreWe went here as a part of our day tour to Chichen Itza and Valladolid. Great restaurant to stop by if you're searching for a good place to eat. They have some options which can be veganized. We went for Panuchos sans chicken breast and it was great. Amazing flavors. The staff was good and friendly. The service was pretty decent. The seating space is quite large and good for large groups. We were a group of 10 but even larger can easily be accommodated. There is a space behind the restaurant as you get into the narrow alley adjacent to the restaurant where you can park your vehicle. We had a mini bus and it fit in without any problem. The restrooms are decent and clean. Overall, a thumbs up. Definitely...
