La 88 — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I stayed here in their rooms above he restaurant for 4 nights and it was very restful.

The young owner (30+ from Switzerland) is hands-on to resolve any challenges that you may have. THE STAFF especially the manager is an absolute GEM. You can always tell when someone has a good heart through her voice, her actions, and her loving-kindness. It is truly a special place to chill to relax or to work.

My room's view was exactly what the picture depicted. It is also conveniently located to the entrance to the entrance of a public beach.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will gladly stay here again. The bonus is that when you stayed here, they have a restaurant downstairs which includes your breakfast.

Also, even though it is a small place, the 4th floor does not have stairs, make sure you are fit to carry your luggage up!

I will offer a few suggestions to the owner of the accommodation:

You need to get new pillows. These pillows have seen their prime. It would be nice to add a kettle so that we can boil some water in our room for those that do not have a...

What a great little place. Only a couple minutes walk from the public beach access and they serve really good margaritas.

Had the chicken burritos, order of guacamole and order of fries. Just the snack/appetizer size. . . It was a meal to be sure. All the food was very tasty and prepared with care and quality ingredients. Really liked the presentation, a little extra touch for a such a tiny place.

Prices were fair and service was very good. The staff dealt patiently my limited Spanish.

Definitely want to go back again this week. Maybe for breakfast...

I had a hamburger. That came with little piece of lettus which is smaller than half size of my palm. That was not a problem at all. But what they put inside bergur, the Patty was awful. Tast like cheap frozen organ mixed one. There was no meat feeling when you chew it. It was some kind of fish cake texture. And tasted strange. So I told the waitress the meat was very bad and she said it was frozen one. And didn't seem to understand English fully and didn't care. I thought all Mexican restaurants service good food. But this one was...
