Las Ahogadas, regrettably, was an uneven first-time experience. On arriving, our group of four was pleased to find what initially looked to be the only empty table that would fully accommodate us. We were only made aware by chance, not the staff, and as a result of one of our group members making a visit to the facilities, that the establishment provided additional accommodating seating space via the eatery's backend. The establishment's smaller physical stature is enjoyable, and adds to its charm, but they should be mindful to communicate the inconspicuous table space to fresh patrons. The torta ahogada, in other words, the flagship food item, was lacking all-around, the sauce especially, which barely had any real spice or kick to it.
