Palazzo — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Don’t let Victor wait on you if you’re a woman. Quite misogynistic for what is supposed to be a 5-star restaurant. I arrived on time to my reservation (while my other half was late). I ordered as normal so not to waste his time and was perfectly pleasant with him. Victor was short, kirt and unprofessional. He literally rolled his eyes directly at me when the 2nd half of my party showed up. Not impressed with such assuming waitstaff for such a high end resort. We had back to back reservations this week. My first experience was enough. Think I’ll be canceling tomorrow’s reservation at this disappointment. Expect this sort of thing at something like a Holiday Inn, maybe but not here. I asked for a different waiter and the waitress was very sweet and friendly. But ensure you do not allow Victor to wait on you. The bruchetta was interesting. It comes on one big, cold slice of bread with huge chunks of tomatoes. I ordered the salmon, shrimp pene vodka dish. It was bland and not saucy at all.
