Ventanas — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

While we still left full and happy, this was probably the most disappointing meal of our stay. I would give it another chance I think, maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes or had a different chef that night? So giving the benefit of the doubt that someone may have a vastly different experience and loved it. The bruschetta was too chunky with slices of tomato being too big to eat, the soup was bland, the noodles were underwhelming, and the chicken pram felt like Olive Garden quality frozen patty. The Baked Alaska was covered in a marshmallow whip tasting out of a can instead of true meringue. Just sort of lacked that final finesse you are looking for with Italian. Nothing was bad, but it just wasn't amazing either. Beautiful...
