Wow! Completely blown away by experience at this restaurant.. I was in Tulum for a wedding last week, and found this place online.. Being Peruvian I love to try a Peruvian restaurant wherever I travel, it’s always interesting to see how people all around the world manage provide authentic cuisine from my home country..
What can I say? Everything was perfect, the food, the flavors the service.. I couldn’t possibly feel more welcome and at home. I had great conversations with both the owner and chef and it is very apparent that they are extremely passionate about what they do and really put their heart into this restaurant.
The food was phenomenal! Each bite I took of a new dish transported me to a different region of Peru, and the flavors were fused together so well. Everything tasted exactly how it should, and even surprised me how much better it was than so many of the restaurants I’ve eaten at in Peru!
I was shocked to hear they opened so recently, but seeing how they operate I know they will be here to stay. I plan on telling all my friends/family who are visiting Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum to stop by this restaurant if they get the chance! It is a decision you...
Read moreI rarely take time to leave reviews however, dinner tonight was such a lovely experience that I wanted to share an honest review and a bit of appreciation for the people who made such a wonderful impression. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the leche de Tigre, arroz chaufa and two pisco sours. This was more than enough for two people. The atmosphere was casual and intimate, we loved the closeness and enjoyed chatting with our neighbors while we waited for our food. The chef and owner both were incredibly attentive and kind. We found it charming that they introduced themselves and chatted while we paid the bill. All in all if you’re looking for a casual restaurant with delicious and authentic Peruvian cuisine, this should be a top choice. I will also note that the restaurant isn’t saturated with tourists, and you can pay by card, added benefits I find help to round out the...
Read moreReally impressed by the food’s freshness, quality and warmth welcome of owner/chef Christian. You can tell Christian is very proud and passionate about gastronomy. He starts introducing himself and by telling us what he has available: only made to order dishes here and explains his restaurant’s philosophy: Traditional Peruvian food, that transports you to the streets of Lima. We ordered a fish ceviche, sudado de pescado (fish stew) and pisco sours. He brought us the raw fish to inspect and not too long after our meals were presented. Both dishes were excellent and an authentic representation of Peruvian gastronomy (I am from Peru). Highly...
