We went on a Sunday night around 9pm . It was our first time eating here. The owner was standing outside and he greeted us very kindly. We asked him what items were popular so he told us the Teriyaki burger with fries and the soy protein meat tacos are two best sellers so we ordered both. We also ordered a not chicken burrito and two Jamaicas to drink. The food was so good that we stopped talking mid conversation and we just kept making mmmmmmm noises 🤣😅. We ended up ordering 4 additional soy meat tacos 🌮. Everything had so much flavor! The meats had flavor! The sauces had flavor! Every single bite was delicious. Then for desert we had the chocolate cake which was transcendental! I don’t even like chocolate but I loved it that day! It was soft, sweet but not too sweet. And the prices are so good that 4 people can easily afford to get 2-3 items per person without breaking the bank! I’ve lived in playa since 2019 and hands down this is the best vegan restaurant in Playa del Carmen ,...
Read moreI was blown away. I've had vegan tacos all over the U.S. and Mexico, and this place was BY FAR the best tasting taco I have ever had. The handmade tortillas were amazing - soft but not flimsy. The Al Pastor was seasoned to perfection and was accompanied by onions, cilantro, and pineapple. The habanero salsa was made fresh as well and was perfect. I can't say enough about the tacos. I had 5 that you see in the picture, and I got 5 more for the road. I'm mad that I found this place towards the end of my trip! I have a few days left, and I will be coming back to try other items on the menu - which, btw is on their WhatsApp. The owner mentioned to me that there is an extended menu with chilaquiles, empanadas, and more in the morning hours. I will be coming back before I leave PDC and will return whenever I am in the area. This place is a gem, and I strongly encourage you to eat here as many times as you can...
Read moreAll the great reviews are absolutely right. This is the type of food that will make people want to go vegan! I ordered a burrito and two tortas the other day and they were all fantastic, including the additional salsas.
To place your order, just send a Whatsapp message to the listed number telling what you want. Spanish and English both work. You'll get an estimated time and will also get to choose between delivery and pick-up. I'm pretty close and picked-up my order, so I don't know what the delivery fee is, but it's great that such an option is also available.
My order was ready to go pretty quickly. But as others have already noted, he makes everything himself, so best to take that into consideration and give him some time to prepare.
I will definitely keep going back for more during the few weeks that I'm still staying in the area. I already know I'll miss these burritos once...
