La Cúpula — Restaurant in Puebla

Excellent food. The service is very attentive at your table, but difficult to locate when you want their attention for some reason, or to ask for the check. I deleted two stars because we were seated at a table with a grate on the floor. Up from this grate poured cold air and we were all chilly. For a long while we just thought we were feeling the temperature of the restaurant, until one of us noticed this grille on the floor that opened directly to the floor below. I came down with a bad cold from sitting all night directly next to this cold air flow. Everyone who goes to this restaurant must take an elevator to the floor directly below the restaurant, and then take a flight of stairs to the restaurant. I remember when we got out of the elevator, that it was freezing cold, but I felt assured that when we ascended the staircase and entered the restaurant, it would be warm and comfortable. In my opinion, the blast of cold air coming up from the floor below, ruined our evening. I’m sure the management and staff are well aware of this problem, but obviously are not making any attempt to close these grates when the air is...

I ordered an ice latte and one dish. I went around 11am. The restaurant was not busy at all and had friendly staff. I did not have a reservation but was immediately let upstairs. The restaurant was HOT! They did not have AC, but they had fans pointed towards your table. The fans were nice and helped with the extreme heat! However nice the fans felt, they were strong and blew lots of flakes from a croissant on my clothing. The food I got was way too salty. I couldn’t not finish it. The salt plus the heat made me feel nauseous. Sadly, the ice latte was basically milk with the faintest hint of coffee. The view was nice. I would suggest going when it’s not so hot, if possible, or in the evening. If you want just the view, go pay for the observatory instead of the restaurant. Me lo habían recomendada algunos amigos. Pero sinceramente creo que podrías encontrar un lugar mejor por menos precio. Pedí una crema y un corte y una bebida . Y mis amigos igualmente pidieron algo similar. La crema estaba pasable, pedí una de pistache y los demás de quesos y les costó comerla porque el pan estaba bastante duro. Sin embargo, al traernos los cortes estaban ya algo fríos, cosa que sinceramente es triste porque no esperas que tu siguiente plato llegue frío, por otro lado lo pedí terminó medio y sentí que por el tipo de carne que pedí (una picaña) dejó mucho qué desear, porque estaba muy dura al cortarse (aún no estaba tan fría la carne como para que costara) pero tampoco tenía un sabor sorprendente 😕. Las verduras que pedí pensé que serían más pero dan una zanahoria, una cabeza de brócoli, 3 chiles y algo de cebolla asada (las pedí a la parrilla), pero estas sí ya estaban frías, lo que no me gustó porque igualmente esperas que puedas disfrutarlo con el corte. Por otro lado, la atención fue algo variable, la persona que nos atendió olvidaba lo que le pedíamos, por lo que regresaba constantemente a preguntarnos qué habíamos pedido o simplemente le repetíamos el pedido porque pasaba un rato y no nos lo traían. También el ambiente es un espacio donde tocaban violín o al menos eso nos tocó esa noche y estuvo bien, solo que si vas con intención de platicar podrías no llegar a escuchar bien porque la acústica tampoco ayuda, sin embargo, no es desagradable. En conclusión, los platillos rondan entre los 200 pesos a 400 pesos, por lo que puedes ir gastando al rededor de unos 500 a 700 pesos por persona incluyendo bebidas. Los alimentos no son la gran cosa, creo que es más la vista, qué por cierto de noche no recomiendo porque no se ve tanto. Y la atención y sabor de alimentos podría...
