Sukiya Queretaro — Restaurant in Querétaro

I made a mistake to give this place a second chance in my craving for Japanese food, which I traveled 40 minutes just to eat. 1. Took 10 minutes to get a spoon for my ramen. 2. The ramen looked nothing like the picture in terms of presentation and there was maybe 1/3 of the vegetables on it as was in the photo 3. The rice with was precisely cold and hard… which I had put the Japanese style poached egg over 4. The egg whites were not even cooked… it was watery and runny 5. The chicken katsu came out at the same time as the spoon, burnt brown and chopped into little pieces, nothing like the photo. When I asked whether the rice was supposed to be cold waiter said no and brought me a new rice after a couple minutes but would not replace the egg which I paid extra for on top of it because he said I ate it. I ate as much of that uncooked egg as I did of the rice to know it was not cooked or handled by any proper standard. I did mention that the same logic applied for the replacement rice should have applied to the egg as well considering none of this was my fault as the customer. I gently pointed to my head and said “think about it” to which the waiter said to me “don’t do that.” At this point I had 2 staff raising their voices at me instead of 1. I stood up and left the restaurant as I could no longer continue to eat in such an unfriendly and unsanitary environment where the staff chooses to pick fights with customers over something so small. I didn’t cook the food improperly. Their team did. And they blamed me? Meal was $199. I would have rather eaten McDonalds at an airport. Poor quality, lack of standards, and rude staff. I will not return and I recommend you save yourself the trip. This is a formal complaint to the company. Please respect your customers enough to at least give them cooked food, what they order. The matcha frappe is broken every time I go here, even months apart, but the menu is still displayed at the tables, which is quite deceiving. The location has high traffic, so finding parking and circling around takes seemingly forever. I like how you can ring the bell to call the server, just like in Japan, and it's a great idea, I'd they ever show up! The Japanese people I know seem to love this place, and rave about how similar it is to Japanese flavor (that's only if you get regular gyudon). Karaage is a bit too intense with ginger, and last time I ate there it was cold. I like how you can order mugicha, which is refreshing in the warmth of Mexico. Ramen has very weak flavor, but Shoot a specialty is the guydon, so anything else you order is at your own risk. I personally don't like coming to Mexico and going out for Japanese food, because I'd rather dine local and eat the traditional dishes that I can't otherwise find in the US. But alas, I'm generally traveling with other Japanese, so I tend to order the style with Mexican flare, like the Picante style, which is interesting to say the least. HORRIBLE experience. We come here with baby to eat, wait for the table and then she puts us on a dirty table. The plump lady never showed up to serve us. We waited 45 minutes before we left. We didn't even get asked what we want to order. There was a group of people who arrived before us and they also didn't even get to order their food. So realistically, you can't get food here before waiting 90 minutes and it's not worth it. The place wasn't even super full and from the 7 workers I could see nobody even acknowledged that we are there waiting with baby. 2 guys at the door were just standing and talking to eachother not even greeting the customers. Plump lady was walking around super slowly. The ambience is nice, but the staff are not worth working there. Better to go to another place...
