I’m not a fan of Yucatán dishes, even after travels to Valladolid and Merida, and it was magnified by eating at this place. AIs are notorious for unauthentic foods. Nothing, and I’ll repeat - nothing, I ordered tasted great despite all of the fantastic reviews of other individuals visiting Unico who raved this was their favorite place. I was unimpressed and left hungry. I probably ate via room service more than I ever have at an AI before. I hope you find this review helpful. If so, please give me a thumbs up. Thank you.

One of the three themed restaurants inside of UNICO. This is the Mexican restaurant and it has a lot of food options. We had to book our nightly reservations due to COVID but had no issue booking any of the restaurants any night. We ordered a bunch of the smaller dishes to try many different options and they were all great. The two signature drinks are very good and you can build your own If you choose.

I got the chance to try many different dishes, including the tres leches which I was really looking forward to but everything was mediocre at most. The birria tacos were the biggest disappointment, no cheese and the tortilla was a bit stale. Despite everything, the service was very good!
