La Hacienda — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

Fantastic buffet restaurant! You'll find this place from the lobby along the boardwalk or by walking through the poolside restaurant La Olas, then directly opposite on the other side. The staff are polite and work very hard to be attentive and helpful with drink orders or taking away finished plates to make room for more. The food selection and overall quality are fantastic. Most of it is found in the middle of the room and far wall food stations. You will find breakfast or lunch here as one of many choices. There is a vast choice from the grills, made to order stations, bakery, amazing salad bar, tapas, fresh fruit, and fruit juice and desserts sections. You'll find many stations with freshly made pizzas and pasta, as well as other specialities of food made to order. It's nice and comfortable out of the heat in the air con with a lively atmosphere. We have enjoyed breakfast everyday here! There are a variety of foods to try! The fritters are amazing. So fresh and flavoursome (or is a breakfast buffet staple for us) the staff are all so helpful and made sure we were all okay with drinks with regular top ups! We want o give a big shout out to Lesly- we needed to have some specialised food to take our medication and she was able to give us some and extras to make sure we all had them! Thais so kind and caring and we were so grateful...

Mediocre food and usually cold. Breakfast is only good if you have an omelette cooked for you, but everything else seems cold, and either over or undercooked. Bacon can vary from raw to burnt, and is usually sitting in a bed of grease. Hash browns are cold even when freshly put out. There is one toaster, and it is small, and can only handle one slice at a time. A bit frustrating for a large buffet.
