I would give four star to the food but zero to the service. I had dinner at Toro Riviera Maya on Dec 12th and the restaurant mis charged me for a way higher amount than I consume. I didn’t notice this until I was back to Canada. I tried several times to contact the restaurant as the call goes directly to the front desk of hotel, I wasn’t able to talk to the restaurant until the fourth try. The restaurant said they realized the mis charge right after the payment because there was something wrong with the machine and I wasn’t the only one who was facing this issue but the wired thing was they never get to me. Just wonder what if I never figure this out? And will they let other consumers know they have been overcharged? If they’ll let others know then why I was never been told? My request was simple and direct which was to email me the receipt and get my charge corrected. Toro said they’ll get back to me on the next day but it has been a week and they never did. It was such a shame considering it is a fine dining in the hotel level of Edition and St Regis. I am a Titanium member with Marriott for years and huge fun of Edition. I chose Edition because it was their soft opening. We could have a pleasant stay there but the experience with Toro Riviera Maya truly refreshed my impressions on how unprofessional a fine dining could be. Could...

Had dinner here to celebrate my birthday. Very disappointed.

First of all, the food was subpar compared with fine dining restaurants at other hotels. Considering St Regis was one of the most luxury hotels in the area, they should have hired a Michelin star chef like other restaurants. I had the catch of the day which was sea bass and my girlfriend had steak. Both were over cooked and dry. Rice was moist which was strange.

Our waiter was also unenthusiastic after we said no to alcoholic drinks. He was very enthusiastic with the newrby table which was also celebrating a birthday so I didn’t know what his deal was with us. Having the same price with other restaurants with Michelin star chefs, I would call the service here terrible.

The two stars are for the other staff here because they were nice. The environment was cozy but ordinary. Go to the St Regis bar which is amazing for snacks or other restaurants if...

Dining at Toro was a standout experience from start to finish. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, with stunning views and a beautifully curated space that feels both luxurious and relaxed. The menu is a vibrant blend of Latin and Asian influences, offering bold flavors and artful presentations. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated.

The service was impeccable, with a knowledgeable and attentive staff that made the entire evening feel special. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic dinner, celebrating a milestone, or simply treating yourself, Toro delivers an unforgettable dining experience in every way....

My husband and I went to dinner at Toro three out of four nights during our stay at the St.Regis Kanai resort and each night was exquisite from the food, to the service, the ambiance and overall experience. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating due to the mosquitos but indoors was just as wonderful. The drinks were phenomenal. My husband enjoyed the smokey old fashioned and my rosemary hibiscus foam margarita was so tasty. Our favorite dishes were the oysters, crab & shrimp soup and the miso escolar. Everyone on staff was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back.
