Neopolitan Pizza — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

If you are a fan of wood-fired, artisan pizza, this is definitely the spot in SMA. One of only two pizza restaurants I’ll eat at in town, and they are different enough styles I think they compliment each other rather than compete. A nice crust with some crunch, fresh meats and vegetables, and wonderful flavor combos. They have artisan and national beers, good mixed drinks, and a friendly staff. Somewhat small dining area, we ate above the kitchen on a covered terrace. Bonus: we were entertained by the beautiful macaw on the adjacent rooftop :). Seating is limited; I think 4 or 5 tables on the terrace, and it is up a skinny and steep little spiral staircase. I found it cool, but it is something to consider if any in your party may have mobility issues. We’ve ordered for delivery as well, and I’d say the pizza was 4 star delivered, but 5-star dining in… There is a gluten free option for the crust, I believe it is cauliflower based dough; my wife thinks it...

Great pizza and service. The selection of toppings is great. Good selection of drinks. Everything reasonably priced.

Service is friendly and attentive. It has a rooftop terrace that is popular, but due to my arthritis I can't use their spiral staircase.

We've had their pizza about 8-10 times in the past year and a half, the pizza topping and crust taste great and are usually cooked to perfection, occasionally softer than I like. The crusts we've had at Neopolitan are always nice and thin, obviously freshly made.

The toppings are fantastic! They are not too oily, obviously made with care and creativity using fresh ingredients, and cut to perfect thickness and sizes.

Overall, Neopolitan is clearly one of the top 3 pizza places in San Miguel de Allende.

Decidí buscar unas pizzas ricas en San Miguel de Allende, la verdad hasta antes de la recomendación para mi las pizzas todas eran iguales. Sin embargo me recomendaron un lugar un poco escondido en San Miguel de Allende, con acceso un poco reducido, subiendo un piso donde te encuentras las cocina y la chica que coloca las órdenes, al fondo un horno de pizza que olía muy bien, sin embargo, no había espacio suficiente para mesas a lo que nos indican que subamos un piso más, este piso era la terraza, una terraza pequeña con no más de 8 mesas, sin embargo acogedor el lugar. El acceso a esta terraza es un poco incómodo pues subes por una escalera de caracol muy reducida, por lo que si deciden ir con adultos mayores tal vez la opción es pedir para llevar o en el piso de la cocina pues subir puede ser complicado. Ya en la terraza, había un poco de escepticismo acerca del servicio y el sabor, en esta ocasión pedí una pizza española, una hawaiana y una pizza de manzana, nos llevamos grata sorpresa del sabor y consistencia de la masa, aquí es donde mencionó que si hay tipo de pizzas y en este caso eran pizzas napolitanas, con orillas infladas, cocción perfecta y un rico sabor. La atención muy buena, y el tiempo de espera adecuada para un domingo en la noche. La pizza española muy rica, con jamón serrano, queso de cabra y arugula, sabores ricos y fuertes. La hawaiana muy rica, sin embargo es un sabor muy tradicional, si hay oportunidad ordenen otra para degustar una rica pizza napolitana con un sabor diferente a la tradicional hawaiana. Las pizzas solo se pueden acompañar con aderezos como queso parmesano y chile quebrado, no manejan catsup pero mientras uno va comiendo su pizza va entendiendo porque no manejan este aderezo. La pizza de manzana también con masa napolitana y muy rica como postre. Recomiendo ampliamente este lugar, desconozco si hay reservaciones pero vale la pena preguntar y reservar sobretodo por el espacio, costo moderado, pues la calidad, atención y los ingredientes lo valen.
