Words cannot describe what a magnificent place this is! We got to San Miguel de allende early afternoon, and tried to find a nice cheap hotel/Bed and Breakfast to stay at for the night. Working as a front desk clerk at a hotel back home, I'm not easily impressed with many places; we checked out 6 different ones and each lacked something. Once we checked out Antigua Casa de Piedras, I knew that was the winner! The lady at the front desk was very nice and kind and attentive to any request we had. The room was spectacular and felt very cozy and like home. Breakfast was delicious and felt like a home cooked meal. The ONLY thing I can complain about is that the wifi connection to the room was nonexistent, and we had to sit out on the chairs in the hallway to get signal, but this isn't their fault, as we later found out that all the hotels' wifi only worked on the first floor. I definitely look forward to coming back and staying...

Read moreI stayed at this hotel two weeks ago and I might say that even is a very tiny, small hotel is nice, quiet, and have a breakfast that is just perfect to start your day!. The hotel is an old colonial house nested in one of the many twisted, cobblestone streets of the historic center of this city. It is strategically situated a few minutes from all the most important churches, monuments and plazas of San Miguel de Allende and just around the corner of the 'Mercado Artesanal".
