MAWE Cocina Vegana — Restaurant in Sinaloa

This was BEST vegetarian food we've had in Mazatlan, and there have been some very good places. The menu has many choices, the young man who served us speaks excellent english, the tables are outside in a pretty little grassy courtyard, and everything was excellent. We had the enchiladas and the Tacos Mawe and both were very good (especially the tacos, stuffed with grilled portobellos!) The restaurant is in a lovely neighborhood just a few blocks from the Plaza Machado in El Centro, very pleasant for an after dinner walk. We will be back to try...

We had the pasta fria, our daughter described it as pizza tasting pasta (premium style); the chickpeas were cooked to perfection. We also had the Tacos de Yaca and Mawa, both unbelievably delicious dishes that really surprised us. The jackfruit was just wow. The service was top notch, so attentive and patient while we struggled to make a choice thanks to the extensive menu! We went there toward the end of the day. We were told the smoothie machine was broken so we couldn't get any freshly pressed juice or smoothie. Our orders took some time to come but the food was fresh and tasty. Had to ask for our tab at the end and it took a while before we were able to pay.
