My family and I moved to Mazatlan last April. In February when visiting, friends took us to La Antigua and we were hooked. At least once a month, we come for breakfast. They have a kids play area our kids love, a wide variety menu for my husband to choose from, and consistently wonderful Chilaquiles for me. From the crepes, to the waffles, to the omelettes…it’s all wonderful! But more than anything, the manager, Alicia, is the most welcoming person we don’t actually know. She’s always professional, but gives our family personalized care. We will continue to bring family and friends there when they come visit, and of course go on Saturday mornings...

Servers were like the walking dead. Totally clueless. There were four tables and three servers so it’s not like they were busy. Couldn’t answer questions about the menu or make recommendations.
I had a waffle and my wife had a crepe. Both savory. My waffle was under cooked and gross. My wife’s was inedible. Just a nasty bunch of food and flavors including a bunch of sweet on a savory plate. No.
Thought about talking to the woman who appeared to be the manager but she was on her cell phone the entire time we were there.

Their selection for breakfast is pretty extensive and the waffles were awesome. The scrambled eggs were a little overdone, but my buddy's omelet looked perfectly done.
It's a great price for the amount of food you get and you can order half waffles if you're not super hungry.
Do not go here if you are in a hurry. My guess is that the kitchen isn't that large, so your food will take a while to come out. I debated dropping it to 4 stars for that reason but decided against it because everything else was...
