My aunt has been wanting to come here for quite some time now. Sunday seemed to be the day. The place looked clean and seemed to follow all guidelines aimed at covid19 prevention. My aunt and i visited the restaurant before 11am on Sunday morning. The restaurant was empty, we where literally the only ones, aside from cooks and 2 front of the house staffers. (Which we found perfect!) Honestly this place was nothing special, but i do want to point out that they did have good customer service. The gentleman was polite, quick and very attentive to our needs. He made suggestions, and even made a dish available that was only available for dinner. So staff gets 5 stars. However I do want to iterate that we where the only ones in the restaurant so im unsure how they would fair in a busy setting. Still though i doubt it would change by much. So back to the food, it really wasn't that special and pretty expensive for the area, pretty expensive even for a traditional dinner in the USA. We had two omelettes, one was a shrimp omelette the other was spinach something omelette. Two american coffees and queso fundido with jalapenos and chorizo. (Cheese fondue) Total bill with about a 2-3 dollar tip came out to 600 pesos. Thats around 27 dollars just in food. The Fondue was literally over 10 dollars alone. My omelette was around 8 dollars. Really looking into it all, at a Dennys, Norms, or any similar dinner you can get a steak and eggs for about 11 dollars plus pancakes. So when you look at what you actually get for the price, its a little expensive. Not only for american standard but especially for Mazatlan standards. Now they were not small by any means, the dishes where well served! Both dishes came served with re-fried beans and chilaquiles (original Mexican breakfast nachos). The dishes where flavorful and well balanced. Overall they got 3 stars because they really did not stand out of the price. I think they try to play off the elegant and refine restaurant to charge more for food. They are located near the golden zone so maybe they just have high rent. the other reason they got a 3 from me was because mosquitoes where eating away at my ankles, i was itchy and incredibly uncomfortable throughout my meal. Conclusion aside from my reasons they got 3 stars (which should not apply to many). I say, if you are looking for a hearty,/traditional breakfast, good service, good atmosphere for conversation and above all adheres to c19 standards this...
