JJ's Tacos y Cosas — Restaurant in Sonora

What a great place!! The food was delicious, service was wonderful, and the vibe was the best! I went on my last night in San Carlos with a bigger group. The live music is a fantastic touch (bring some cash to tip the musicians!!). It was great to see many people up dancing throughout the night. Absolutely the best thing I could have done on my last night there. If I make it back there again, I will definitely be going back to JJ's. Some of the group I was with has been dining at JJ's throughout the years and locations - JJ was very glad...

Not wholly impressed. The JJ’s special beef taco had good intention, but the carne asada lacked true asada flavor. The polladilla was good. The papa loca was a sour cream based potato soup, which was unexpected and not really that tasty. Service was almost fine, but then they refused to accept paying via credit card without good reason. Server just kept checking his watch at 5 pm, saying, “cash only.”

Always a great relaxing time. The early afternoon openings are usually handled by JJ's son, Byron. Laid back and engaging, this place let's you just be.....you. JJ works in the afternoons mostly, but "Who Cares". If you visit, you will understand the lingo after a short lesson given by the employees of the establishment. "Why Not?" give them a try. This is a no pressure atmosphere...
