Cafe France — Restaurant in Yucatán

One of our favorite places in Chelem! We’ve been coming here for a few years and it never disappoints. The food is outstanding, great atmosphere, and friendly people.

Their croissant sandwiches are fresh and delicious. I ordered the bacon egg & cheese and there was a TON of cheese! It also came with a side of guacamole. The chilaquiles, though - those were amazing. We actually ordered a second plate after we inhaled the first 😂

My husband ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was a frozen drink, which was incredibly refreshing on a 90° morning. The service can be slow and they tend to be busy, but hey, it’s Mexico! Kick back, relax, and enjoy the sights.

Mediocre at best. A disappointment compared to a few years ago! I asked for a latte and got a luke warm coffee with milk, couldn't even taste the coffee. I asked for an espresso shot to warm it up and give it flavor after telling waiter I didn't get a latte, (Was changed for both a latte and an expreso). The over-easy eggs were cold and rubbery. They forgot the bacon and didn't get it until my meal was finished. They used to have excellent coffee and fresh food, not anymore. Thank goodness it was a cold day, and there was no wait! ...

Outstanding breakfasts, coffees and toasts. Both the “Bowl De Frutos Rojos” and “Bowl Piña y Chia” are amazeballs; extremely cold and extremely refreshing on a humid Yucatán afternoon. They also have some delicious antiox water drinks and vegetarian options on the menu. Great wait staff and food presentation every time we went, and a nice open air atmosphere right off Calle 19 (Yucalpetén-Chelem Road). Highly recommended for...
