Probably my favorite restaurant in Ulaanbaatar every time I'm there.

While the hot pot is always a safe bet here with the spices bar, order the Khorkhog. This is a lamb stew that is cooked by placing very hot stones in the pot. It is a dish that is usually for special occasions, since it is slow cooking. It was delicious, even for locals standards.

There are also quite a few good options for vegetarians, such as the fried eggplant.

We went here for dinner on New Year's Eve and were disappointed. I ordered a hot pot with dumplings and my husband ordered the beef noodles and both were average at best. One of the dumplings had a bone in it and another one had a huge piece of fat (not in a good way) so I was put off eating anymore. My husband found the noodles to be dry and bland. The waitress never came back to ask if we wanted dessert or more drinks so we paid and left. There was only two other tables occupied when we turned up and it didn't get any more popular while...

The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The interior is authentic which you can find all kind of Asian design, such as Mongolian, Japanese, and Chinese. There were variety of Mongolian foods including hot pot style as well as other asian common cuisine. We tried a hot pot and traditional dumplings, can’t say it was the best but it was alright.
