When we came to Mornar, I had a good impression first. The interior design is lovely. Then, the waiter didn’t let us sit at the table that we chose even if it wasn’t reserved. We ordered one Caesar salad, cheese (HRSKAVI SIR), burger (PLJESKAVICA FIT), and dessert (KREMPITA M). The fried cheese was average, I can’t really say anything good or bad about it. The burger didn’t look like a burger (look at the picture attached), tasted even worse than in McDonald’s. My husband’s stomach was heavy after it, he even gave him heartburn.
My Caesar salad was served with bacon and it wasn’t mentioned in the menu. The waiter Lukac made a scene at me when I asked him about this bacon and JUST LEFT spreading his arms and saying that he doesn’t care and it’s my fault that I ordered it, I’ll pay for it. I asked for a manager at the bar counter, Lukac went there and laughed with a lady. Then nobody came to our table. I once again asked about this bacon, Lukac tried to find it in the menu (not successful try) and said it’s served with bacon everywhere in Montenegro, which is a lie. So nobody wanted to bring me the real Caesar salad. I asked him twice about taking the bacon out of my place. He agreed with an angry and annoyed face. I wish I never ordered this salad. The bread rusks were disgusting, the chicken was dry. The dessert was very sugary but looked really nice.
The waiter didn’t pick up our dirty plates. Nobody said goodbye. They brought us our dishes like we were the most disrespectable people in the world.
The climax of this monstrosity is that I couldn’t close the door in...
Read moreThe interior is one of the best I've seen in Bar. Music not too loud, the atmosphere is soft and inviting. Even though, the servant was unporfessional and ignorant. Not taking away the plates, ignoring me. The place was well known and one of my favorites since I was a kid. The best plates are the chinese ones. Not only that there are no analogues in the town, the dishes are merely delicious. I decided to give a chance to other dishes and end up quite unsatisfyied; The potage was simply bland and fishy. When salt and pepper can’t help a potage, it’s bad. The seafood paella was flavorful in contrast and I got into it a few minutes after. Well, the rice was dry and seafood couldn’t help it get moist. The whole shrimps on top were stone hard as if they were just unfreezed. The dish was obviously baked and I don’t really know if paella is supposed to have the crunchy top that makes rice stick to teeth. It’s not good for risotto or any rice to be so drained and cooked so rough.
Still, I'll definitely come again, giving a chance everytime till I completely lose faith in this nice place as I enjoy staying...
Read moreHere's an honest review from someone who is from Brooklyn New York who visits family in Montenegro:
First of all, the atmosphere is gorgeous. It's really nice to sit down and eat with my family and plus it has air conditioning.
They have a wide variety of options to choose from, and the server was kind with us. (I see most people reviewing here that some of the servers are rude, but that's just how balkan people are. Deal with it lol)
However, the food looks good, but for taste, it's very medicore. The calamari (pohovane ligne) was very rubbery and not crispy at all. And the steaks me and my sister ordered were raw and had to be on the grill again even though we specifically asked the server for the meat to be well cooked. As for taste, it was okay.
The Ceasar Salad was a big dissapointment because the leaves tasted funny; most likely wilted and dead.
Overall, you're better off getting grilled meat at this restaurant, but I don't think me and my family will never come back here. There are better restaurants here than this one that have better quality and...
