Took me some time to share this with you. Come with some friends from New York city, Charlotte North Carolina, Miami and Italy, most of them are into hospitality world, and I want to show them little Gem of Boka Bay. Voyo Knezevic from Setai hotel in Miami was impressed. I choose this authentic Balkan Seafood restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance transported us straight to the heart of the Mediterranean. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with tasteful decor, soft lighting, and just the right background music to set the mood for a relaxing dining experience.

The service was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive. Our server took the time to explain the menu and offer excellent wine pairings. Owner of the restaurant help him with wine selection who push more local wines, but we still prefer Italian or Californian. Great wine list and Pedja was amazing.

As for the food—absolutely outstanding! Every dish was full of fresh, vibrant flavors. We started with the grilled octopus, which was perfectly tender and seasoned. The main courses, including branzino grilled with Dalmatian vegetables and seafood risotto, were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The olive oil used was clearly high quality, and the herbs and spices gave each dish a genuine Mediterranean touch. Salat so fresh.

Don’t skip dessert! The homemade dessert is the beet.

Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience authentic Mediterranean cuisine with top-notch service. We will definitely be coming...

We ordered fish platter for 2 people. That was very delicious, okay but servers and their attitudes were grumpy. They have prejudice against Turks. Service price is included, the server insistently want tip “bahşiş bahşiş” although there is no care for our table. I know that they will answer this review by putting Turkish flag and thumbs up and confirm their bad attitude.

My answer to the restaurant;

First of all, I didn’t make negative comment about food’s quality. I don’t question about the experiences of your servers. However, he didn’t serve the plates on the table, serve by giving my friends’ hands so they haven’t so much experience as you said. They bothered us with bad attitudes and grumpy faces. We said we don’t want drinks but he asked three times not once. Your restaurant is not experimental place so I can drink or eat whatever I want. Your experience is discursive. If you explained why a bottle of water is not allowed, we would appreciate that but the server just asked to remove it aggressively. In well-experienced restaurants, bill is received with internationally accepted language “English” so customers may know that tip is included or not.

In our culture, customers are above everything and servers are very friendly but in your establishment it has become a culture to boost the customers ego and differentiate customers based on their status.

All in all, I recommend this restaurant if you tolerate this kind of...

From the moment you step into Bonaca, you’re greeted by an atmosphere of refined elegance and authentic coastal charm. Perfectly nestled along the stunning waterfront of Kotor, this restaurant effortlessly combines top-tier service, exceptional cuisine, and a sophisticated yet inviting ambiance.

Every detail at Bonaca reflects professionalism and dedication—from the impeccable table settings to the attentive, knowledgeable staff who elevate the entire dining experience. The service is discreet yet warm, with each course arriving at a well-measured pace, allowing you to savor every moment.

The menu is a masterful celebration of Mediterranean and local Montenegrin flavors. Fresh seafood dominates the selection, prepared with precision and creativity. The wine list is thoughtfully curated, featuring regional and international labels that pair perfectly with the menu.

Bonazza – An Evening Full of Flavor and Emotion Bonazza is more than just a restaurant – it's an experience. With its stunning ambiance, breathtaking views, and unforgettable sunsets, it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a special evening. The food was absolutely delicious. I started with a tuna tartare that was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. For the main course, I had the grilled squid accompanied by truffle parmesan fries – a true delight. The squid was incredibly tender and served with a homemade garlic oil that elevated the dish to another level. What made the evening even more special was the warm and joyful atmosphere. We had the chance to witness a marriage proposal and two birthday celebrations – the staff organized a heartfelt "First Thank You" and "Happy Birthday" song that made the moments truly unforgettable. Despite the place being absolutely packed, the staff remained attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the night. A special shout-out goes to the head waiter, Nikola, whose charm and attentiveness truly stood out. One small downside: we were a group of 16 people, and unfortunately, the restaurant was not willing to split the bill. We had to settle everything on a single check, which made payment a bit complicated. Still, the overall experience was fantastic – I would definitely come back and highly recommend BonAzza!

Nice setting. Menu is typical of restaurants in Kotor. Italian, but not quite Italian, which isn't an issue. Exorbitant prices, but then again, that's Kotor for you. The assumption is that if you can afford to come to this place, you can afford the ridiculous restaurant prices. My wife and I both ordered fish ; Seabream for her and Seabass for me. The fillets came with potatoes, spinach and an interesting olive oil & garlic dressing. The fish was alright, but we both agreed we had had tastier ones elsewhere. The fish soup was a joke. You can't call it a fish soup when there are only carrots and potatoes and a few chunks of tasteless fish . Totally bland, with no taste of fish or any seafood for that matter. I had two spoonfuls, and I pushed it aside. Later, a waiter came to enquire, and I told him it was just tasteless. He said he would inform the chef. Another waiter then came and said we wouldn't be charging you for it. I said, " No worries." In the end, we were charged for it. To think that a nice restaurant like this would even dare to serve this soup is mind-blowing. Somebody screwed up big time in the kitchen

Came for dinner on a Friday evening, didn’t realise it was so popular and that most tables were booked, but they managed to seat us anyway which was great. (Every single table had a reserved sign on). The view was epic, overlooking the water with the sunset behind the mountains, really beautiful. The service was good, with drinks being topped up regularly, and pace of service was good too, we weren’t left waiting with empty plates or waiting to pay etc. The food itself was good, but not amazing like I was expecting seeing the photos and reviews. We ordered the chicken veloute, and fish soup - the veloute was very very thick, and had developed a skin on the top by the time it was served, nothing amazing, and the fish soup was under seasoned and watery. For mains we had Sea Bass and the Tuna Steak. Sea Bass was lovely, but only 1 fillet so more expensive than elsewhere we’ve eaten where they give you the whole fish. The tuna was well cooked, and beautifully presented, however left me on the loo all night with the sh*ts, so can’t give 5* for that sorry.
