We recently had the pleasure of hosting a Christmas party for 27 of our YouTube viewers and five very well-behaved dogs at Moments Restaurant, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Situated on the shore of Kotor Bay Montenegro in Dobrota, this classy and upscale establishment offers not only a welcoming ambiance but also incredible value for the quality of food and service.
The team at Moments pulled out all the stops to ensure our celebration was unforgettable. They prepared a true holiday feast featuring perfectly roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, a medley of roasted vegetables, and garnishes. To top it off, dessert and a drink were included, making it a complete festive meal. Our special rate of €20 a person was great value. We have ordered off the regular menu prior to our event and were always very impressed. For a new restaurant Moments is striving to set the standard of excellence.
A special shoutout goes to Regina, our gracious host, whose radiant smile and unwavering dedication to perfection set the tone for the day. Behind the scenes, Viktor, the talented chef, went above and beyond. He kept in touch with us for several days leading up to the event to confirm every detail. On the day of, Viktor arrived at 6 a.m. to ensure everything was fresh and ready by the time we arrived at 12:30 p.m. The care and effort they put into our event did not go unnoticed.
Moments Restaurant ownership also embodies the spirit of warmth and generosity. During the party, we collected donations for the Montenegro Dog Shelter in Tivat, a cause close to our hearts as avid travelers with our two dogs. To our surprise and delight, the owner of the restaurant generously contributed to this effort, further highlighting the establishment’s sense of community and compassion.
From the owner to the entire staff, we felt truly embraced and cared for. Whether you’re planning a special event or simply looking for a refined yet welcoming spot for a meal or drinks, Moments Restaurant should be at the top of your list. Their regular menu is filled with fantastic options, their desserts are a treat, and the drinks at the bar are some of the best we’ve had in Montenegro.
Whether it’s a grand celebration or an ordinary evening to watch the sunset, Moments Restaurant is a place that delivers excellence. We couldn’t recommend it more highly and will undoubtedly return for another...
Read moreI traveled the world as a captain, ate in the world's most exclusive restaurants and I am the owner of 4 restaurants abroad. And I am very glad that a restaurant like this has opened in Kotor. Damjan was my waiter at the opening and the service, organization, and atmosphere were really top notch, and kudos to the organizers and owners. The only complaint is that the head of the kitchen was drinking and smoking all the time and the disgusting smell of cigars literally went into our food and he poured himself wine from the wine display case and all this while he was in a chef's uniform, this is unacceptable for a restaurant like this and he would probably get dismissal in any other serious restaurant. But considering Kotor is in question and just opening, the mistakes are forgiven. The practice of elite and Michelin restaurants is for the chef to come out to thank the guests/waiters only to guests who consume a large amount of food, as well as to come out at the guest's invitation or if the guest wants to thank or specially praise the kitchen. If the waiter has time, he can suggest that they address the chef personally and invite the chef to receive the compliments personally, if he has time for that (little hint). In all other situations, while she is in uniform according to standards, Michelin's kitchen manager is in uniform because he is in uniform for a reason, which distinguishes people. In the kitchen, where he belongs. If he is in a restaurant and has come to a celebration, he should not be in uniform, but dressed like everyone else. I wish Mark the best of luck and this is a well-intentioned review and of course 5 stars for a successful start, but if I had come as a guest and seen the scene with the chef, the rating would not have been anywhere near 5. Greetings from the captain and owner of Michelin's restaurant. There is still a lot of work to be done on food in order to reach the highest level. The service and ambience are certainly at the highest level, especially for Kotor and serving that number of people. All the best to the managers of the organization! Sorry for my English is my...
Read moreWe were looking around for restaurants in Kotor and we had previously seen that this seemed to be the only 5 star rated restaurant in the whole city, so we had very high expectations.
The atmosphere was very beautiful, and the interior of the building was done really well. The owner welcomed us personally to our own table, and made the recommendation that we should try the cocktails.
We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 cocktails and 2 main dishes. The appetizers, were the beef Tatar (5/5) the Halloumi salad (4.8/5) and the Burrata (4.2/5).
The cocktails, were very tasty, they had a complex flavor with depth. It was like as if the cocktails were trying to walk us through a guided tour. The flavor starts off with what you would expect, then you reach a peak where all the flavors hit you distinctly at once, and then a very flavorful aftertaste, leaving you asking for more. So the cocktails were definitely a 5/5. The name of the cocktails were Majestic moments and Surprising moments (the one with the bubble).
The mains, we got the Miso Salmon which my girlfriend loved, and I got the stir fried beef. Which I enjoyed. My only issue was that the rice was a tad bit undercooked, and as we talked to other guests and chatted with them, they mentioned the same thing about the dish, wish is a shame because the rice had a very nice flavor, reminds me of the flavors my grandma used to infuse her rice with, very creamy and buttery. So I would give the stir fried beef a 4.4/5 and my girlfriend said she would give the Salmon a 5/5.
One last comment about the electric candles/lights. There are two different lighting modes, make sure to tap it on top to get the warm yellow light instead of the harsh white we got initially from the server. We would have preferred proper candles, as we thought that would be more appropriate for the medieval atmosphere of the city, but I’m just nitpicking at this point.
The total bill was around 170€ not...
