I have been to many Indian restaurants around Europe and England but I feel it is a must that this review is taken very seriously.
I have found that when I go into an Indian restaurant, the food may taste slightly different but the dishes are exactly the same.
Masala Art however is on a different league - everything you taste has flavour with a difference. There are so many different variety of dishes available that you look at the amazingly prepared menu - it’s like a book. So much thought at what to offer customers to ensure they have a fabulous dining experience and walk away without feeling bloated and feeling they have eaten too much.
I have found that this is because the food has been prepared with the special recipes which the owner does not give away - it is the secret of Masala Art that the food feels it has been made at home, yet the taste is absolutely amazing.
I have no words to describe how wonderful the food is at this restaurant but the only way to find out is to go there yourself and enjoy the Masala Art experience in person.
From the moment of stepping foot inside this restaurant, the Ambience, Aura, Decor and Staff are brilliant- I really hope one day this restaurant opens in London as this is indeed a Michelin star rated restaurant in my eyes.
I also have to say, I have never ever seen a restaurant that prepare their own Indian sweets - they are fabulous. I have a sweet tooth but the Mitai’s that are prepared are the restaurant have been prepared in such a way that they don’t feel very sweet. They are perfect and I found I was able to taste a piece of every variety available.
The highest rating possible I am able to give is 5 stars but once again, this is a restaurant that deserves much more.
Certainly the best and only Indian restaurant in Montenegro.
Well done the Masala Art team for creating such a superb dining experience- carry on the...
Read moreIn our recent trip to Podgorica, we did not enjoy their traditional food and was craving for indian food, so I checked online if there is any indian restaurant and came across Masala Art and let me tell you, our visit to this restaurant was the highlight of the trip.
The interior and ambiance of the restaaurant was very simple yet eligent, the staff was very friendly and respectful, but what stole the show was the food. The food was not only presented very well but was tasting deliciaous. I never imagined tasting the real indian flavours in a foreign country.
We ordered Pink Lemonade and Aam Panna in drinks, both were very refreshing and tasteful. Then we ordered Mutton Shorba which reminded me of the shorba my mother used to make. Then we tried the Tandoori Chicken which I was craving ever since I moved to UK, and finally got to eat here.
In the main course we ordered Chicken Kadai Masala and Garlic Naan which was a taste explosion. I wish we had some more space in our tummy to try the biryani.
In the end, we ordered the Apple Kalakand which turned out to be the perfect finish of our dinner experience.
And the cherry on the cake was, Mrs. Sakshi Prabhakar (owner's wife) who came up to our table and interacted with us very fondly. We were thrilled to hear her experiences and the efforts this couple has been putting to take indian cuisine to next levels.
In conclusion, Masala Art is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Indian culture and hospitality. Whether you're a seasoned food enthusiast or simply craving a taste of home, this is a dining experience not to be missed. I cannot recommend Masala Art highly enough and eagerly look forward to...
Read moreI am so glad this restaurant exists in Montenegro!
I am an Indian married into a Montenegrin family. My wife and I were visiting from Canada, where we reside. She has had Indian food because of being married to me, but her siblings and her niece, who live here in Montenegro, haven't ever had Indian food.
At first, I was nervous to introduce her family to Indian food, but they were so impressed by my people's food that they couldn't stop praising it. We ordered three butter chicken, garlic naan, rice, mushroom stuffed chicken, and something else I cannot remember. The quality of the food was top-notch! Hah, my brother-in-law ate so much, he thought he was going to throw up. He was groaning by the end of it because of how much he ate. We had our food in their nice patio setting but got to check out the decor inside. The place has a very nice ambiance.
Our server, a local named Matija, was very friendly and professional. I was impressed at the fact that he picked up on some Hindi. Before ordering, I asked him what he thought about Indian food and butter chicken, in particular... so that my in-laws could hear it from a local directly. Hahaha, he pointed out to his belly, saying how he gained weight from eating the Indian food.
I spoke to the owner before leaving to thank him for opening this restaurant. Without his restaurant, my in-laws would have probably never had...
