We visited La Ballena on Thursday evening. Great location. The food was good. The waiter was friendly. Everything was going well until just before we asked for our bill. The waiter argued about price with a gentleman sitting 2 tables away. The couple next to us got their bill and there was a discrepancy there too. We asked for our bill. Of the top of his head he said 645 MAD (roughly £52.58.) I knew there was something wrong with that so I asked for an itemised bill. 425 MAD (£34.64) then he added the litre of beer which he charged 120 MAD for. (£9.78) total bill 545 MAD (£44.42). Worst experience I’ve ever had. The bill was hard to pay as no card machine and couldn’t change any money as everywhere was closed. I payed £25 English cash even though it was £20 as they tried to charge me more for exchange rate. I managed to eventually find somewhere to change some money up so went back to get the £25 back and pay in MAD. I gave him 600 MAD and only got back 145MAD which means I was robbed of 200 MAD
