On vacation in Agadir with my partner, we were looking for a good restaurant with fish on the menu. After looking on Tripadvisor, we opted for this restaurant because the reviews were good; the location is good and the decoration pretty nice. So much for the positive After we settled outside for dinner, we quickly realized that the lights are really too weak and you do not see anything on your plate (my companion removed the edges of his fish in the light of our phones! At the staff level, many young people but few had to go to a hotel school! Not very smiling and not very present. They passed several times next to our table while our plates were empty without them taking care of ridding. And when they did, they left half on the table. In short all this could have happened if the food had been good! We opted for two fish dishes. I took monkfish with shrimps and with garlic sauce and mushrooms. Balance: not very copious for 19 Euros, and the dish was lukewarm at first and cold when I finished. My companion took the fish fry. Served lukewarm, and the time she tries to remove the edges (in the light of the phones as already mentioned), the dish was cold and she ate half. When we reported this to the waiter, he just told us that the plates were hot, and left without a word of apology. We then discussed with the manager of the restaurant who was very concerned and was sincerely sorry. He offered us a dessert and confused himself apologetically several times. We also saw him having a "frank" discussion with our server. In short, his attitude could have saved the evening a little if we didn’t have to ask for the bill 2 times and wait 15 minutes. Unfortunately our bad impression has only been confirmed because 5 days later, my partner is in the hospital for 2 days, very dehydrated and especially with a bacterial attack that will force him to remain bedridden in his room for several days. The doctors are formal, the bacteria in question comes from fish and it is the only dish with fish that we ate during our stay. So in the end, FUY THIS RESTAURANT WITH ITS STAFF NOT AT HEIGHT AND WITH A VISIBLY UNFAIRING...
Read moreWe had a recommendation for this place from 'The Rough Guide to Morocco'. The book said the paella was legendary! So on that we ordered the paella fruit de mer as there was a really good picture of what I hoped we'd get on the front of the menu. Well on the positive, the rice was well cooked and very tasty. However, only one prawn and one muscle, oh and about four tiny pieces of fish. We paid 400 Dirham for my partner and I for this poor attempt - about £32. I reckoned about 50 pence worth of ingredients, so quite a mark up! I brought all of the above up with the waiter who explained that the picture on the front of the menu was the paella royal which for two would be 1000 dirham. The picture showed at least seven muscles, numerous prawns and four langoustines. Quite an improvement. I looked again at the menu and this legendary dish wasn't even on the menu! I asked to see the manager but he ignored me and hung around for the payment. There was no offer to reduce the bill at all. Oh, I forgot they brought us a bread roll to start with and no butter. When asked for butter, a few tiny bits of rock hard butter were brought with no apology. Honestly, I've had much better street food paella for a fraction of the...

A terrible experience before we even had the chance to sit down. We came with the intention of eating or having a drink, but first we asked to use the bathroom to quickly rinse off some sand after the beach — something completely normal in a coastal area. Not only did they rudely refuse, but they spoke to us with an arrogant, dismissive attitude, as if our request was out of line.
We tried to explain that we were planning to stay and order, but they immediately became confrontational and unprofessional, showing zero empathy or basic manners. Instead of being welcoming, they treated us like we were a problem.
And honestly, we had already heard bad things about this place from other people — now we see those complaints were true. Apparently, this kind of poor treatment and lack of hygiene is nothing new here.
To sum it up: a place where customers are clearly not valued, the staff is rude, and there’s no sense of hospitality. We didn’t stay, and we definitely won’t be coming back or recommending...
