Food:
The food was very tasty yet the portions small. The price is on the high side which seems adequate considering the exclusivity they are aiming for but too much for what you currently get.
Service:
The waitress did not understand English or French which made ordering food harder than it should've been. We had to clarify some stuff with the maitre because she misunderstood parts of our order. A partial result of these misunderstandings is that we didn't get garniture with our food which made the portions even smaller. They have some tapas concept with a lot of sharing and starters involved but do not change your cutlery in between meals, something you would expect from such an establishment. Our waitress was also visibly gossiping and pointing towards us while talking in an annoyed fashion to her colleagues.
Infrastructure:
Very beautiful interior and decoration. The toilet however has a big hole in the door through which ppl in the restaurant would be able to look inside. The light turns off every 30 seconds or something so I had to move for the sensor to see me twice during one visit.
In total I think the flaws of this restaurant are mainly attributed to it being new. I was going to give it a score of two untill the maitre (owner?) asked us for feedback since he noticed something was wrong. He was very open to constructive criticism...
Read moreI would give this place a zero, but there’s no zero rating starting with the receptionist, which is the image of a place she is so miserable. She should be working in the funeral home not in a restaurant. has no knowledge of how to seat people in that place and obviously there’s a favoritism to how they seat people. We were three people they gave us a table for two and we asked for another table. She said you have to have a hard liquor. I spent about 3000 dirham between food, wine and desserts and tipping where the table I requested had couples that only had two cocktail drinks and an appetizer. Another table in that section had five guys with three beers and one lemonade and a water and obviously their bill was not even 300 dirham Any place that only welcome boys not couples only is not classy. Place it should be rated as a cabaret or a pick up joint Obviously, there’s a favoritism there, and the owner should know about the behavior of this receptionist the food came cold and the steak was bloody and warm people that owned places like this in this country should travel the world and learn other civilized societies manage...
Read moreLooking for a lovely lazy lunch or dinner spot with great food and wines in Rabat, be sure to visit Maya.
Maya was highly recommended to us by a local, and it didn't disappoint. The food was very nice and great selection of small bites to larger if need be. We enjoyed a cheese platter (with a twist, chocolate too) to start to compliment our champagne, followed by delicious brochettes, very tasty indeed.
The service was impeccable, the team were at your beck and call to make sure you were never kept waiting.
The atmosphere and decor is beautiful, great design and lovely courtyard to bask in the afternoon sun with a local Moroccan wine.
Seems the venue is setup for evenings too and a local hotspot, with beers and cocktails on offer along...
