Cigala — Restaurant in Kenitra

Overall a nice experience, but I have a few things to point out. This review includes both my first visit back in April and yesterday. Good food and service offered by the staff. The waiter was friendly and was proactively assisting our table. We were a family of 10 on both visits with an age range between 75 and 15yo. We visited around 3pm and ordered different dishes accordingly. Preparation and presentation time was about 7~ 10 minutes for the salads, and 30 minutes for all main courses. The Salmon à la crème was fantastic. Friture royal and standard were great. Tagliatelle Pesto was also great and delicious though a bit too oily. My only concern is the Pizza. We ordered Pizza Saumon and Pizza fruit de mer. The Pizza Saumon had no salmon but rather just surimi. This particular thing made me disappointed as the only difference between the two Pizzas is the salmon and its price was 90MAD. We also ordered huitres gratiné and they were great and fresh. The Paella was good and hot but a little burnt at the bottom.

In all, I would rate this experience 4, but the food 3,5. Also the restrooms were clean but the sink area...

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I went there with my wife, and not only was the place extremely hot because the air conditioner was broken, but the service was shocking. I asked the waiter for a bottle of water, and while he went to get it, he kept coming back to spy on us.

At one point, I had simply put my arm around my wife’s shoulder — a normal, innocent gesture — and the waiter came over to scold me, telling me this was a “respectable restaurant” and that I shouldn’t do that. He even grabbed a chair and tried to force me to sit across from my wife.

There was no one else upstairs — we were completely alone — so there was no reason for him to be hovering over us and making us uncomfortable. He completely ruined the mood, embarrassed both me and my wife, and we ended up leaving our meal and walking out, angry and disappointed.

This behavior was completely unacceptable. We will never return, and I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a respectful and...

I had the pleasure of trying their signature Cigala Salad and Gratin Fruits de Mer, and both were bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. We have been in many amazing restaurants during our trip in Morocco but Cigala is the top. The attention to detail in presentation and taste is remarkable. Their Seafood Paella is also a must-try, rich in flavor and generous in portions.

The staff were incredibly friendly l KADIRI was very kind and ATTENTIVE, as all the stuff ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The cozy ambiance combined with exceptional service makes Cigala a standout dining destination.
