We arrived early at this small but cozy restaurant, so we were the first clients. Because of that, we were lucky to have Mr Nourddine's full attention, that was the best host we ever had, making us feeling like we were at home. The food was home made, delicious and in generous portions (we were not able to finish all). Our meal was lentilles salad and aubergines with tomato as starters, and as main course we had vegetables couscous and couscous with tfaya and chicken. We drunk water and Moroccan tea. Mr Norddine offered traditional sweets in the end. Total amount was 220DH. The best of all was the friendly and interesting conversation with Mr Norddine, that gave us a great insight of Morocco's History and Society. What a great experience! :)

The best food so far on my trip! Recommend! After traveling around Morocco for nearly a week, eating every day in multiple restaurants this was definitely the best tasting food so far! The taste was exceptional. Big props for the chef in the house! :) I got 2 dishes and I wish I got more cause I didn’t find any place in Morocco yet with better taste. I wish all Moroccan restaurants would take notes and offer this best local cuisine for tasting (wasn’t impressed with taste until this restaurant). Excellent and exceptional! The place had an excellent service and very welcoming local atmosphere. Host was very accommodating to my vegetarian requirements. English, French and Arabic menu available. Recommend!

I’m so glad I fought with my local guide to have my own lunch over here. The local guides always bring you to places that they probably get commissions or freebies. But Restaurant Dar Baraka was so fantastic that it made me love tagines so much! The beef ball tagine was amazing and my group was so happy dining here. The chicken pastilla and mint tea were also sooo good and the owner is a friendly old man who served the dishes to us. It’s actually a home and the kitchen is on 2nd floor. The entrance is not open so you have to knock the door for him to open. Anyone who comes to Meknes, must try this. Do allocate more time to eat as they have limited stoves to cook for many people.

I recently dined at Dar Baraka and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy. The host were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations. The food itself was exceptional; each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed Bastila it was unique from other city’s in Morocco. And the liver dish as well. The portions were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied. Overall, Dar Baraka exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return as there’s other options in the menu worth a try.

We went at 4:30pm, but we’re still able to be seated. Don’t be fooled that the door is closed, you just have to knock! The vegetarian dishes were better than the meat ones. But we really enjoyed the Berber special which was couscous with chicken and chickpeas. Highly recommend, it’s sweet but unique. We also tried camel for the first time, which was very interesting. The dish itself was lovely, but the taste for camel is not for us, but I’m glad to have tasted it. Above the food the owner, is the most wonderful man. He speaks no English, but we managed to converse and feel right at home with our broken French!

What a hidden gem. We were lucky enough to stumble across this family owned restaurant in the heart of the medina. The 5-star reviews are well deserved. Weather food itself was delicious but the best part was the hospitality of our host. He made sure we were well looked after and after the meal sat down with us for some complimentary tea and dessert. We had a fantastic discussion on local tips and Morocco in general. I would strongly recommend this as the best place to eat in Meknes. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!!
