Awesome place to grab some good food in Safi. When I walked past they were grilling sardines and I noticed what seemed to be a majority Moroccan clientele (I’m a traveler who likes to eat where locals eat) The staff doesn’t speak English. (Not complaining) And I don’t speaker Arabic or French so I said “sardines grill-odd-es” and “sal-odd-ay” and which is how I think it’s pronounced but probobly not. The lady responded “sal-odd-ay Moroccan?” and I replied “wah-ha” (yes in Arabic) … and I questioned “chobz?” (Bread) she said “waha” I sat down at a table outside (Covid) Very soon I got what I asked for plus a rice with lentil dish and a stewed tomato with green pepper dish that were both really tasty. A nice healthy balanced meal. I enjoyed everything they served. Tasted super fresh. The grill master came over and asked something in Arabic - I’m not sure what, but I responded “bnin buzaf” (very good) and some locals at the next table smiled … They have a sink to wash your hands in the bathroom. I didn’t ask how much, just handed her 100 dirhams and got back like 70 … what a deal. I tipped the waitress and the grill master and said “choukran” (thank you) Great food and great experience

This is a nice and good restaurant to taste the city specialty! It's a bit crowded mostly with locals... Which encourages more to try it. The staff is really nice and friendly, they explained the menu and gave us some recommendations. The menu suggest many fish based dishes since the city is famous for that (cooked in different ways : Tajine, a la plancha or fried ..) the food is good and freshly cooked really delicious. I loved the pepper salad ( Really good) and the Tajine with calamari, octopus and shrimp so tasty. The place is, a bit dirty and specially the toilets.

Incredible experience... If someone is looking for local experience instead of 'big names' and exclusiveness - this is the place. Food was amazing, staff is super friendly, and menu is compatibile for every diet option. We observed even locals coming for lunch, so we can be sure cousin is prepared as it should be. If You want to get know a little bit od true Marrocan world - try this place and talk with people. ;)

I would like to specify and clarify that there is no restaurant that will provide you with "GOOD" value in the whole of Safi/Asfi like "Restaurant chez SAID". Do not search twice on the internet for a location to have a meal. I have been several times and I have never been disappointed. He only serves in Large Tagine plates and his pricing beats all restaurants around Safi. If you need a home cooked meal then this is the only place...
