I don't even know where to begin. We decided to try here since it's a hit in town at a moment. I'll stop there with a compliment.
First it was way too noisy. My wife and I couldn't even talk amongst ourselves without shouting.
Two, waiters keep dropping utensils quite often. Service is quite horrible. When we were eating they kept hustling us to put more and more. We are those kind of customers who enjoy eating at our own pace and not be forced to eat. They just wouldn't leave us alone even when we politely told them to do so.
Three, everything is overpriced. We understand it's supposed to be a high end restaurant but everything is just way too over priced. They even charge a fortune for a soup, which is an essential for a hotpot. Meal came up to 86,000 Myanmar Kyats. Which is about US 60 dollars. Only meat we ordered were small one small serving of chicken, one small serving of lamb, and four pieces of mussels.
Or I almost forgot to mention.... Their soup base for hotpot just...

Although the staff offered to replace it with a new pot, I was too disgusted to continue eating. We asked for the bill and left shortly afterward. I barely touched my food, yet I was still charged for half the meal, which I find unacceptable, given the circumstances. This was not the first hygiene issue I’ve encountered at this restaurant—on a previous visit, I found something unsanitary in a drawer. This consistent lack of cleanliness is simply intolerable. Although I didn’t make a scene or take any photos, I will...

I was thoroughly glad that Beauty in The Pot opened up in Myanmar. The food is fresh, the variety is vast and the service is great too (they can cook it for you if you're uncertain how long to cook).
I've come for lunches with family visiting, dinners for business and late at night when I'm hungry too.
It is indeed more expensive, but you pay for what you get, and what you get is an...
