We visit this particular Spur on a regular basis but I can safely say that it won't be happening again any time soon. We were there for lunch on Saturday and were appalled at the lack of service and professionalism. We were 2 children and 3 adults, upon being led to a table "outside" we were handed menus and told our waitress would be back. When she eventually arrived we ordered drinks and the children's meals. After waiting almost 45 minutes with no word from the waitress my husband went to find out what happened to our drinks. A supervisor eventually brought out the drinks about an hour after we ordered them, without so much as an apology. At this time, the table seated next to us received their meal, but had still not received their drinks order. We waited another 20 minutes for the children's food. Out of the three adult meals we ordered, one of them came to the table almost half an hour later. Eventually, after having to speak to management twice about the rest of our order, we were brought one plate of food, which was not at all what we ordered. It was immediately sent back and we cancelled the remaining 2 meals so that we could leave and get food elsewhere. This was approximately 2 hours into the experience. Once we had asked for the bill, the waitress returned to the table, not to bring the bill, but to advise us that my steak was being prepared and that she would bring it shortly. Needless to say we never got the steak and had to eventually ask management to bring the bill, again. When the manager on duty brought the bill and credit card machine for us to pay, it was without an apology or acknowledgment of the awful service we received. Coming from this industry myself I am shocked that the management and staff at Spur, a successful international franchise, find it acceptable to treat customers...
Read moreMy Husband and I have been a couple of times.. the service is somewhat okay.. the only problem we have being in the industry ourselves.. is that the managers are sitting around eating at the table just as you enter the Spur. Staff stands around chatting and in our trade this is anything but professional. I really think this Spur have great potential bur seeing this every time is a very downside. I don’t know if we will return. The other downside is that the bathrooms are dirty and noticeable not cleaned during operating hours nor regularly. The are where the chefs make the food on the ground is food, papers, toothpicks.. just wondering what can happen if a client fall or slip.. definitely also not monitored or cleaned during working hours and as the management are too busy eating themselves they do not notice these small faults. The artificial plants need a good wash and the chairs backsides misses a few screws as its no longer sturdy. Hope you can improve on these then We will...

As a result of SPUR MARUA's unserviced eft swiping machine, my family experienced horrible treatment from management. A clear lack of interest in customer matters and no stuff support to effectively resolve simple matters. My husband was manhandled after we decided to leave and the police called on us, while we stand back and witness all that with our toddler and young baby.
Who by the way, did confirm that spur marua was at fault. Senior manager was called and he had little interest in the matter nor give a practical solution when he was called. We waited on him from 10pm up to 11h45 pm and he never showed up although we were being told he was on his way the entire time.
Shame on you spur marua. It would be wise for any one intending to swipe for payment to rather dine elsewhere. Chances are high your payment will be declined due to their malfunctioning machine and you will be inconvenienced if not also traumatised like my...
