How it works: You are given 3 hours to complete the meal: 1 hour for Grill 1 hour for Meal 1/2 hour for salad 1/2 hour for dinner

Pros: In the Grill, fish, chicken and pineapple were good. Since it was Saturday, there was panipuri stall. Panipuri and Dahipuri were really good!

Cons: All the other food sucked! Absolutely sucked!!! a. I had to throw most of the starters, even the spicy chicken wings tasted bad!! And the Veg Momo?!! Even if you’re vegetarian, you’ll hate it for sure! b. Pasta was either not cooked properly or were of the low quality. It stuck to our teeth while chewing. (A whole new experience for sure. Not a a good one though.) c. Chicken biryani had no chicken at all; not a single piece! d. The chicken with peanut sauce tasted like somebody tried to make chicken gravy but they pour in a lot of water and then cooked to dry it off. (Taste? Bad! Texture? BAAAD!!!) e. The tofu was unbearably inedible that I had to spit it out immediately in a tissue paper and rinse my mouth with expensive water (see no 2.). f. The Nimki chaat had the oldest Nimki one could find in the market. One spoon in & yuck! Had to throw a lot of food. (Forgive me god, I'd rather have poison.) g. Only thing that was better in dessert was watermelon. The cakes were somewhere from a cheap old bakery. Fudge and brownies were made from the cheapest and baaaaad chocolate. The ice cream...I don't even have words... The price of water bottle (900ml) was 95 Rupees plus VAT!!!! (check out the bill in the picture) We asked them to give non-mineral water at first but they said they didn’t have it and It was only available in the Kitchen (not to be given to the customers). And they charged us 95 rupees + VAT!! After we came out of there, we bought Rs. 20 bottle (1 litre) from a cold store nearby and quenched our thirst.

Final Verdict: Don’t go there for that unlimited food. It is not worth for some pieces of grill and pani puri. You can get good filling food in that price. And for vegetarians, not recommended at all! (P.S. Paneer grill had...

I recently visited The Grill Nation, and I have mixed feelings about my experience. Let me break it down for you.

Positive Aspects: The surroundings were lovely, and there was ample parking space, making it convenient for guests. The ambiance of the place was pleasant, and some of the staff members displayed good behavior and courtesy.

Negative Aspects: ❌ Unfortunately, the service was far from satisfactory. The behavior of certain staff members left much to be desired. It felt as if our presence inconvenienced them. We visited The Grill Nation twice for a birthday party, and our first experience wasn't great. However, we decided to give it another chance. On our second visit, our team set up a musical program with permission, making the celebration special for the birthday girl. Some performers took the stage, and everyone was enjoying the event. The dinner was scheduled to end at 9 pm, and we politely requested an additional 10 minutes to finish our meal. To our astonishment, even with plenty of leftover food, we were abruptly told that dinner service was over, leaving us hungry. We couldn't help but wonder if they were serving the same food the next day, as the variety and quality didn't align with what we had seen on influencers' posts. It appeared that the content shown by influencers was tailor-made for marketing, leading to false expectations. Additionally, we experienced issues with uneven snack distribution during the event. Some guests received snacks while others were left out, highlighting a lack of attention to detail by the distribution team.

In summary, The Grill Nation has its strengths, including a pleasant environment and ample parking space. However, the unfortunate service quality, staff behavior, discrepancies between marketing and reality, and issues like uneven snack distribution left us with a less-than-ideal experience. It's disheartening when the potential for an enjoyable evening is undermined by...

The Grill Nation is quite famous in Nepal for its Buffet options. They also do home delivery of their buffet items. The ambience at The Grill Nation Nepal Kathmandu is lively and energetic. The restaurant is always busy, and the atmosphere is electric. The restaurant is also decorated in a modern and stylish manner, with exposed brick walls and metal accents. The food is cooked to perfection over an open flame, and the flavours are incredible.

They offer 2 different kinds of buffet options, Non-veg 1496 NPR Veg 1196NPR

The buffet comes with three courses, Starters Mains Desserts

The starters are served on the table and the Kebab is set up on the griller with varieties of options such as chicken, fish, paneer kebabs, fruits in kebab sticks etc. We totally loved the starters. We refilled it again, oh yes, you can refill everything you like from the starters. Now let’s talk about the mains, for the mains we had a variety of items such as biriyani, curry, veggies, grilled items and many more. They also offer salads, soups, sauces, and different kinds of desserts. They have labelled which items are veg and which are non-veg items. They also have an ice cream corner and a live pain puri station.

They have live music, and live game screening. They also have...

I took my wife to Grill Nation the other night, and it’s a solid place with a lot to like. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, buzzing with a family friendly feel that seems tailor made for a big group rather than just the two of us. You can easily imagine a loud, happy table of relatives digging in together. Service was spot on, our waiter was a gem, super friendly and quick to check on us, which showed they actually give a damn about their customers. The real winner was the buffet dinner, unlimited food for Rs 1500 per person, drinks not included. It felt like we’d crashed a wedding party, with hot dishes and tons of options to pile on your plate. The grilled starters, though, didn’t quite live up to the hype. They’re supposed to be live grilled, but these were obviously pre cooked, tasty enough, just not that fresh, smoky goodness I was craving. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, though; the rest of the meal carried the night. All in all, Grill Nation’s a good pick, great value, nice vibes, and a team that’s got your back. I’m giving it 4 stars and would definitely head back, especially with a bigger crew to really soak in the experience.

I had an incredible dining experience at Grill Nation in Kathmandu, Nepal — a true haven for barbecue lovers. The highlight is their live on-table BBQ grill, where you can savor a delicious selection of marinated meats, seafood, paneer, and fresh vegetables, all grilled right at your table. The aromas, the sizzle, and the juicy flavors make it a fun and mouth-watering experience. Alongside the BBQ, their lavish buffet offers a wonderful variety of dishes — from vibrant salads and hearty curries to flavorful sides and tempting desserts — ensuring there’s something for every palate. What made the evening even more special was the outstanding service of Mr. Niraj Gautam. His warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism turned a great meal into a truly memorable one. He made sure we were well taken care of throughout, replenishing skewers, suggesting dishes, and always checking in with a kind smile. Grill Nation is not just about food — it’s about enjoying good times, great flavors, and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kathmandu!
