Il Colosseo, Ristorante - Trattoria - Catering — Restaurant in Alkmaar

As I didn't like the house wine (tastes like cooking wine - headache), i informed accordingly and asked if they had a lambrusco. The waitress already informed me that they didn't have it, so i asked to have a look at the wine menu. A minute later, the owner walked through the restaurant, screaming in italian to someone in the bar/kitchen that this is not a pizzeria, so they didn't have lambrusco. As I am italian and the owner already new that i speak italian, i felt uncomfortable about this scene and I asked him gently if I offended him with my request. He made it brutally clear how I should know that lambrusco is served in pizzerias and not in trattoria's, and he pointed me out calling me highclass to order a lambrusco... I WAS SHOCKED AND SHAKING. We wanted to leave immediately and the man screamed to the kitchen to stop making everything. He was really intimidating us. I regret we had the conversation in italian instead of dutch so everyone could hear him. We have been yesterday in this place. Simply because of the rating here. The chef is a unique guy, very friendly. I could improve my Italian skills. The food is very tasty, really but the size is sooo small. We payed 90 euro for one small entry called "Tris di carpaccio" and two mains pasta and meat plus wine. It's OK but we both were still hungry. I never saw such a tiny portion of pasta to be honest!!! Yes we went to another restaurant to fill the gap. Ik wil dit graag ff kwijt vandaag wilde ik voor de 2de keer daar gaan eten de kok kwam meteen op mij af en zei dat waar ik al zat gereserveerd was om 21 uur (ik had gekeken er lag geen reserveer bord op de tafel) ik zat daar om 20.20 uur. Ik zei ok dan wacht ik graag op een tafel als dat niet lukt ga ik gewoon weg maar hij was zo gestrest, hij had over ja ik kan geen tafel toveren bla bla ik zei dat verwacht ik ook niet iig hij was niet echt vriendelijk, ik zei ik vind het niet erg als er niets vrij komt ga ik wel weer weg! Hij loopt naar de keuken en zegt tegen de dame in de bediening met zijn armen zwaaiend “ik zeg er is geen plek maar ze begrijpt geen Nederlands” SERIEUS?? Is duidelijk dat JIJ geen Ned begrijpt. Als je de keuken niet aan kan of geen klanten meer aan kan/wilt nemen kan je dit netjes zeggen en daar zal begrip voor zijn! Dame in de bediening is aardig en professioneel laat haar aub met klanten communiceren en ik denk dat u goed bent in de keuken ieder zijn plek. Ik had dit niet willen schrijven maar ik vond het niet tof van u hoe u over mij praatte en mij voor schut zette in een vol restaurant totaal not done!!!!!
