Please note this restaurant has moved to veerdronkennoord opposite cafe one ''kantoor From the moment you walk into this place a smile brightens up your face. With it's Tiki bar theme, the Surf Board tables and long board bar brings a smile to you feel like you have been transported across to the Pacific ocean. Screens on the walls playing music videos with the music at a reasonable level, you instantly start to relax and feel the vibe of summer by the sea. The only thing that is missing is a beach and waves lapping up to the shore. Now to the food and drink. I had a nice cold glass of Sauvignion Blanc, dry crisp with a pleasant mixture of citrus tones. As for food I had the Aloha Burger and fries with a side Salad. And all that for Under €20. Will I be back "hell yes" this place has moved from one side of the city to the other and with it's new staff line up, you are made to feel welcome the moment you walk...

Wir waren heute im Rockville Café essen – insgesamt ein solides Erlebnis mit herausragendem Service, aber kleinen Schwächen beim Essen.

Service: Absolut top! Freundlich, schnell und lösungsorientiert. Auf unseren Wunsch, den Burger „well done“ zu servieren (wegen Schwangerschaft), wurde ohne Probleme eingegangen – obwohl das sonst nicht üblich ist. Auch für unsere 2,5-jährige Tochter wurde unkompliziert eine passende Sitzmöglichkeit organisiert. Getränke und Speisen wurden zügig serviert.

Lage: Das Café liegt in einer belebten, leicht touristischen Umgebung – insgesamt aber sehr angenehm.

Essen & Getränke: – Burger: Sehr lecker, saftig und gut gewürzt – 9/10 – Fries: Leider etwas weich und wenig gewürzt – 2/10 – Onion Rings: Durchschnittlich, geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber kein Highlight – 6/10 – Getränke: Zwei davon gut gekühlt, aber leider war mein Bier zu warm – ein kleiner Dämpfer.

Preis: Der Preis ist angesichts der Lage gerechtfertigt. Geschmacklich hätten wir uns bei den Beilagen etwas mehr erwartet.

Gesamteindruck: 3 von 5 Sternen (1 Stern Abzug für die Beilagen, 1 Stern Abzug für das zu warme Bier)

Wir würden wegen des guten Services wiederkommen – beim nächsten Mal aber vermutlich andere Beilagen wählen.

We visited Rockville Café today – overall a solid experience with excellent service, though the food had a few minor letdowns.

Service: Absolutely top-notch! Friendly, fast, and solution-oriented. They had no problem preparing the burger well done (even though that’s not typical) due to my wife’s pregnancy. They also quickly arranged a suitable seat for our 2.5-year-old daughter. Drinks and food were served promptly.

Location: The café is in a lively, slightly touristy area – but overall quite nice.

Food & Drinks: – Burgers: Very tasty, juicy, and well-seasoned – 9/10 – Fries: Unfortunately a bit soft and under-seasoned – 2/10 – Onion Rings: Just okay – not bad, but I’ve had better – 6/10 – Drinks: Two were nicely chilled, but my beer was a bit too warm for my taste.

Price: The pricing is fair given the location. Based on the food quality, I had slightly higher expectations for the sides.

Conclusion:

Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10)

Burgers: 9/10

Fries: 2/10

Onion Rings: 6/10

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars) (One star off for the sides, one star off for the warm beer)

We would return for the great service – but next time we’d probably try different...

We were attracted to the fun terrace and the idea of nice Hawaiian cocktails. We ordered the pulled pork nachos and pina coladas (the only tropical-esque drink). The portion was generous but flavor was lack luster. We asked before we ordered the drinks if they were blended and they said yes, but they were not, which defeats the purpose of pina colada. Honestly the aloha thing is clearly just a marketing gimmick, there is no tropical or Hawaiian food or drinks here.

Overall I imagine this to be an amazing Thursday night spot that students love to frequent. The full page of shots basically as long as the cocktail list should have...
